2023 ROSTER
As it does every year, the Eastern Wisconsin Open provides a glimpse at the talent from the greater Milwaukee and Green Bay areas to cap off the summer. This year's roster does not fall short, highlighted by numerous prospects who have found success throughout 2023.
RHP Nolan Buss (Arrowhead, 2024; Kansas State commit), who will be making his first showcase appearance since the PBR Future Games in August of 2022, leads the plethora of athletes attending Monday’s event. Throughout the spring and summer, the righthander has continued to trend up on the mound, ranging in the lower-90s and topping out at 93 mph in our most recent look. In addition to his electric primary pitch, Buss completes his swing-and-miss arsenal with his slider and changeup. A lethal mix will be in action on Monday, as Buss enters his final season of his prep career this fall.

RHP Garrett Shupe (2024) and OF Taylor Lemanski (2024) are two uncommitted Mosinee products who are coming off successful spring campaigns as a part of one of the top programs in the state. Shupe, in our most recent look, reached 86 mph on the mound as a physical, 6-foot-3, 185-pound athlete. Lemanski is a scrappy defender and bat-to-ball hitter who will be attending his first showcase in front of our staff, as he’s been an intriguing follow throughout his prep career.

A pair of upperclassmen, RHP’s Lucas Frank (Germantown, 2025) and Isaac Verbruggen (Neenah, 2024), will be making their way to Sheboygan on Monday, each trending up in both velocity and in-game performance. In our latest looks in the winter, each arm ranged in the low-80s with quality off-speed pitches to complement.
C PJ Hamel (Arrowhead, 2025) is a prospect making it back to the Eastern Wisconsin Open for a second straight season, as he garnered attention as both a hitter and defender back in 2022. After a quality summer, the incoming junior sets himself up well for Monday and beyond.

One of the top underclassmen set to attend the final showcase of the summer is RHP Bryce Loker (Omro, 2026), a projectable righthander who reached 83 mph from the mound at the PBRT Wisconsin Open this past summer.
Similar to prior showcases this summer, many noteworthy standouts from the spring will be making an updated appearance in front of our staff. On Monday, that includes the likes of INF Ryan Apel (Homestead, 2025), INF Boston Damon (Beaver Dam, 2025), and RHP Aden Cherney (Auburndale, 2024), who round out a quality roster.
Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a PBR showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.
