Wade Riggs: RHP/3B, (2027) Miamisburg, OH. 5-foot-11, 160-pound. (61.9 mph bat speed average). (20.3 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced quiet stance with a quick load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed is efficient, shows a simple flat swing plane and high finish. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 84 mph; had a natural exchange, quick footwork, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Clocked a time of 7.23 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, showing consistent arm speed he had a compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2138; Avg 2044). His 11/5 curveball had gradual action. (Max spin 2251; Avg 2202). Shows late action on his 10/4 slider. (Max spin 2172; Avg 2172).
One of Ohio's top catch and throw guys who also took a quality BP. Simple approach mechanically with a compact stroke that generates middle of the field direction. Natural tools are ahead for class and will continue to grade up as he fills out his athletic frame.

Started in a balanced stance with a compact load, then used a controlled short stride. Bat speed was present flashed, used an uphill short swing plane and high finish. Barreled up lots of balls during the round. Pull side approach. While catching, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 76 mph. Behind the plate, throw downs to second topped out at 76 mph; displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.98-2.07. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.37. Projectable on the mound, showed a very quick arm action and an over-the-top arm angle with above average arm speed Stretch only type pitcher who shows easy effort. Tall balance point with downhill shoulders. Lands open with balanced finish. (Max spin 2142; Avg 1939).
