6-foot-2, 235 pounds with a strong, durable frame & present strength. Fits the corner INF profile with his power and arm strength. Offensively starts tall, with a narrow lower half and some coil/inward turn with his upper half. Takes a slow, controlled load into his backside with a knee knock load. Hands stay quiet near back shoulder & show a subtle stretch back before beginning swing. Swing stays compact and accelerates through the zone quickly. Rotates well through his core and stays tall at contact. Defensively showed sound, easy footwork around the bag at 1B. Stays in his stance and lets the ball travel into his set-up. Feet stay tight together & he utilizes more of a hip hinge to work down to the ball. Size gives him a solid catch radius when receiving. Showed soft glove hand while taking throws from across the diamond. Long arm path with 3/4 release. Adjusted arm slot as needed when turning 3-6-3 double play. On the mound, flashed a 3 pitch mix with a deliberate pace & consistent delivery. Stays tall and gathered over the mound at leg lift with a high knee drive. Lower half shows coil near his back shoulder while shoulder line works towards target. Slight bend on back leg as he separates and gets down the mound. Full extension from both glove side and throwing arm. Lands with clean direction and allows hips to open up easily. Arm action gets extended then shorts up quickly into high 3/4 release. Creates leverage down the mound with extension through release out front. FB/CB/CH combination with feel for all 3.
