Alberta Prospect of the Week - Reece Keller

Reece Keller RHP / Vauxhall Academy of Baseball, AB / 2020Prospect Update: Listed at 6-foot, 200-pounds, stocky build, big legs, relax and smooth arm action, high-3/4 slot, keeps balance throughout delivery, lands closed but in line, good direction has a tendency to fall off towards first base side when finishing. The uncommitted 2020 right-hander is in his first year with vauxhall academy. This past summer at top prospect game his fastball sat 78-80, we expect to see a jump this spring considering making the move to vauxhall where he’s on a specific throwing program. 2019 Projection: Keller will be looking to climb up the rankings and establish himself as a top pitcher in his class. He will most likely be playing with his home club the parkland twins in the midget AAA alberta league after the jets season. If he continues to make progress he will compete for a spot on team A, we should see him in regina representing Alberta at this years Canada games. |
