MADISON, AL - The Madison Rising Stars ID was held on Sunday, May 28th at Bob Jones High School in Madison, AL. This event hosted some of the top prospects from the 2027-2028 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. Some of these players will earn an invitation to the Junior Future Games at Lakepoint later this summer. 

Continuing our post-event coverage for this event, we take a look back at all of the pitchers that were in attendance at the event. 

Ty Hunter, Hazel Green  (AL), 2028
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 5-7, 120-pounds. Smaller and lean frame with room to add size.
Delivery: Smooth operation with feel, short stride down the mound.
Arm Action: LH. Low-to-mid 3/4 arm action.
FB: T76, 73-75 mph. Pounds the zone, arm side run. T2032, 1853 average rpm.
CB: 61-65 mph. 1/7 spin, good feel in the zone. T2240, 2159 average rpm.
CH: 67-68 mph. Fading action down in the zone with occasional cut. T1914, 1874 average rpm.

Braydon Nichols, Munford (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: C/RHP
Body: 5-6, 134-pounds. Proportional frame, well developed lower half build. Athletic look.
Delivery: Repeats well, clean and smooth down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Shorter and quick arm action.
FB: T79, 74-78 mph. Around the zone, with some late life. T2008, 1881 average rpm.
CB: 62-64 mph. 11/5 spin, plays down in the zone. T1878, 1810 average rpm.

Riley White, Athens  (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/RHP
Body: 5-9, 140-pounds. Athletic and leaner frame, room to continue to fill out.
Delivery: Repeats well with clean delivery.

David Sharp Jr., Priceville (AL), 2027
Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-9, 145-pounds. Proportional frame, lean and athletic build.
Delivery: Quicker and controlled down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Quicker arm action from a low-to-mid 3/4 slot.
