After a full summer of events, tournaments, and a culmination finishing at the Future Games Prep Baseball Report Arkansas is releasing an update on the 2025 rankings.  Today we take a deeper dive into the top 3 players in the State, a couple of the top uncommitted players remaining on the board, as well as take a look at some of the top newcomers to the rankings.  You can see the full rankings by clicking here.

TOP 3

Landon Schaefer SS / RHP / Fayetteville, AR / 2025

Shaefer remains as the top ranked player in the Natural State and one of the top shortstops in the entire country.  Shaefer is well known for his easy swing with plus bat speed and elite barrel control.  The lanky Arkansas commit also has smooth defensive actions and will only continue to improve as he continues to add strength and size in the future.

Jaison DeLamar OF / RHP / Fayetteville, AR / 2025

DeLamar had his coming out party at last month's Future Games where his collection of tools shined brightest.  The recent Arkansas commit ran 6.94, had a 101 mph exit velo, was up to 93 mph on the mound, and broke the Future Games outfield record at 97 mph.  Which side of the ball DeLamar ends in the future is yet to be determined but his high-end tools will definitely play at the next level.

McLane Moody RHP / 3B / Northside, AR / 2025

Moody is one of the more projectable arms in the area at 6-foot-5 and 180-pounds and is already reaching the low 90's with the fastball.  What makes the recent Arkansas commit so exciting is the elite hand speed which spells for easy gains in velocity in the future as well as tightening up the breaking ball.

TOP UNCOMMITTED

Luke Cornelison SS / 3B / Har-Ber, AR / 2025

Cornelison checks into the rankings as the top ranked remaining uncommitted players in the State.  The shortstop has some of the quickest hands in the State and shows some real strength at contact.  He also has elite arm strength in the infield which should keep him on the left side of the infield in the future.

Grant Wren RHP / OF / Melbourne , AR / 2025

Wren checks in as the second highest remaining uncommitted prospect in the 2025 class and top ranked uncommitted pitcher.  Wren has a very projectable build that should allow for more growth on the mound but has shown at even a younger age to be able to really control the longer levers in his delivery.  Look for Wren to continue to make big strides on the mound as he adds strength to his frame.

Ridge Southerland RHP / 1B / Bryant, AR / 2025

Southerland checks in at number 9 overall and the third highest ranked uncommitted prospect in the 2025 class.  Southerland had a strong showing at last month's Future Games that saw him use his high spinning fastball up to 88 and tight breaking ball and sinking changeup to get off the barrel.  Southerland already has a strong frame and shows a clean arm action that should continue to provide more velocity in the future.

NEWCOMERS TO THE RANKINGS

Casey Christ 2B / SS / Bentonville, AR / 2025

Christ enters the rankings for the first time at number 16 after putting his skills on display at last month's Future Games.  Christ has a simple approach at the plate with a short and compact swing that he repeats very well.  He shows the ability to drive the ball to all fields as well showing soft hands and clean actions in the infield.

Xorian Robinson SS / OF / El Dorado, AR / 2025

Robinson checks into the rankings for the first time at number 25 overall in the State and the 6th ranked shortstop in the 2025 class.  Robinson is already showing high levels of hand strength at the plate with exit velos into the mid 90's with a smooth stroke from the right side.  He also shows soft hands and strong defensive actions at short.  Robinson will definitely be a prospect to keep an eye on moving forward as he adds more games under his belt.

Brecken Glasgow OF / RHP / Batesville, AR / 2025

Glasgow enters the rankings for the first time at number 33 overall in the State and the 4th ranked outfielder in the 2025 class.  Glasgow has a physical and projectable build at 6-foot-1 and 180-pounds and shows very quick hands through the zone even with the longer levers that produced exit velos up to 92 mph.  The feet move aggressively and freely in the outfield and projects as a corner outfielder in the future.
