PBRT Arizona Select All-Tournament Team

The weekend of September 11-13, Prep Baseball Report hosted the 2nd annual PBRT Arizona Select tournament. Hosted in the east valley, PBR Arizona staff was bouncing back and forth between facilities to catch some of the top players in Arizona compete. Talents were definitely on display, as some new faces opened some eyes, and some notable prospects put a stamp on why they are a player to watch.
2024 Los Banditos took home the title on Monday morning in a dog fight against the Aggies. The Aggies jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. They didn’t hold on to that lead for long, in the bottom half Los Banditos score 3 on a dropped fly ball in left field. Sloppy defense ended up being the story for the Aggies. In the middle innings, Los Banditos pulled away a bit and were very much in control of the game. It wasn’t until the top of the 6th that the Aggies punched back. After the top half of the 6th, the Aggies took the lead at 6-4. Unfortunately, for the Aggies that lead was not held for long either. In the bottom half of the 6th, Los Banditos pulled away once again pushing the lead to 10-6, scoring more runs on errors.
It was a great weekend! Thank you to all who participated, and congratulations to Los Banditos. Wear the belt proud!
