All-Colorado Showcase: Quick Hits - 2023 Pitchers

LaSalle, CO-- On May 25, 2020, PBR Colorado enthusiastically welcomed 150+ prospects to the ALL-COLORADO Showcase. After months of cancellations due to Covid 19. 2021’s, 2022’s and 2023’s safely gathered at BigFoot Turf in LaSalle, CO. 

Today, we take a quick a look at some trending upward Pitchers in the 2023 Class in our Quick Hits news: 

+OF/RHP Hunter Gotschall, (2023, Calhan) Hunter keeps climbing the velocity ladder. FB 85-87 with more to come. SL at 72 still developing with potential. Athletic and competitive, Hunter checks a lot a boxes! 

+RHP/1B Max Stanley, (2023, Legend) Max has caught the attention of PBR Colorado and PBR National Rankings. Composed and repeatable delivery. FB 83-84, Great feel for off-speed SL 67, CH 72. Great Projectability. Another strong showing in the All Colorado event 

+ OF/RHP Ty Thompson, (2023, Riverdale Ridge) At 6’2” 170, Ty is a long levered player with skills. A 2 way athlete that continues to show strong upside on the mound. FB 81 with OT Release and 12/6 CB with good spin at 68. Lots of potential 

+ 3B/RHP Tommy Marsh, (2023, Cherry Creek) Physically mature with room for growth. FB sat at 81-83. SL 70. Has a quick arm with his CH 79. Versatility as a 2 Way player. Have seen gradual and consistent growth. 

+ RHP/OF Mason Bright, (2023, Severance) Mason displays big body and power arm. Attacking FB now at 87 and a hard SL at 75-77. His raw tools are evident and will be exciting as he continues to develop. 

+ RHP/1B Tate Smith, (2023, Eaton) Smith continues to develop without the benefit of a Spring season. His FB ranges from 84-86 with some Arm Side Run. SL 75 has the potential to be a dominant pitch and his CH 79-80 is highly effective at 3⁄4 arm slot.
