All Colorado Showcase: Quick Hits - 2021 Hitters (1)

LaSalle, CO-- On May 25, 2020, PBR Colorado enthusiastically welcomed 150+ prospects to the ALL-COLORADO Showcase. 2021’s, 2022’s and 2023’s safely gathered at BigFoot Turf in LaSalle, CO. Today we do a Quick Hits for the 2021 Class of under-recruited Hitters. 

In the days and weeks following this event, we’ve been breaking down the top performances by category, starting with the Class of 2023 Pitchers, the ‘23 Hitters, the ‘22 Hitters, the '22 Pitchers, taking us to today’s topic of the ‘21 Hitters.

By comparison, the 2020 Class had 110 College commitments overall. This 2021 class has 15 commitments at this time. PBR Colorado provides a list of 2021 Hitters worth your time and effort of a follow. (Part 1)

+ OF, Brolin O’Connell (Eaton): Under-sized and gaining strength , with speed and extremely quick twitch movements. Plus Bat Speed and +++ GRADES. Exit Velo 82. 

+ MIF, Kolton Miller (Ponderosa): Great actions up the middle, mature process with feet and hands defensively. Great timing and smooth LH Swing. Consistent barrel contact. Exit Velo 83 

+ 2B/SS Karl Peters (Heritage): Lean with good bat speed. Some lift in swing and Gap to Gap approach. 6.93 60 Real good actions at MIF. More to come as strength increases 

+ OF, Nolan Johnson (University): Centerfielder with Speed and jumps. RHH with repeatable quick quick hands. Has ability to handle pitches in and out and has strong zone discipline. Exit velo 90 

+ SS/2B, Adam Benes (Longmont): Great actions as MIF. Solid base and foundation as hitter. Consistent path with line drive tendencies. Great BP round in event Sub 7.0 60 at 6.95 

+ OF/LHP, Connor Conney (Holy Family): 6.70 60 and ability to Pitch! Generates + bat speed from is 5’11” frame. Ball Player all the way around. Recently committed to Holy Cross 

+ 3B/RHP, Seth Beals (Rocky Mountain): Middle of the field approach with quick twitch and short levers. Still see positional versatility. Confident player. Exit velo 85 

+ LHP/OF, Colby Cruser (Chatfield): Smooth LH swing with great balance. Still developing. Repeatable Middle of the field approach. Demonstrated great BP round in event. 2Way, also a LHP 

+ OF, Zach Cook (Resurrection Christian): Strong armed corner outfielder with a LH Swing that ball finds barrel often. Gap to Gap with speed and potential for power. Projectable hitter of AVG and Power 

+ OF/3B, Joel Anderson (Rocky Mountain): An absolute grinder. Short compact levers with great bat speed. Power potential, Exit Velo 91 Consistent Barrel contact. Energy and confident in his approach 

+ SS/RHP, Macy Barnhart (Lutheran): Small School athlete with potential ahead. Pull side approach with Pop. Still developing with lots of tools. Exit Velo 94
