Unsigned Senior Showcase: Outfield Analysis

By Drew Locascio
Illinois Scouting Director

On Jan. 13, PBR Illinois hosted its first showcase of 2019, the winter’s Unsigned Senior Showcase. Approximately 50 prospects came out to The MAX facility in McCook, Ill., to participate in the day’s workout in front of our staff and over 25 colleges.

We started our coverage last week with our Quick Hits post and a Statistical Analysis and began earlier this week with our positional breakdown.

Today we take a look at the outfielders in attendance. Left-handed hitting OF Kyle Labedz leads the way. Labedz showed off a repeatable swing and routinely made hard, line-drive contact to all fields. Defensively, Labedz has natural outfield actions, fluid footwork and sure hands.

Behind Labedz is projectable OF Jackson Nance. Nance, a Yorkville product, has a lot of upside and just seems to be scratching the surface of his potential.

Continue on below for detailed reports on each of the 13 outfielders from the day.
