Cooper Trinkle
PBR Indiana

Indiana’s Class of 2025 State Rankings have been updated and there were plenty of players who made a climb with a strong summer showing. Today we take a look at players currently ranked in the top 50 that improved their stock this summer:

Caden Crowell LHP / 1B / Valparaiso, IN / 2025

Checking in as the #2 overall player in Indiana’s 2025 class, Crowell has a lot to like currently, as well as a long, 6-foot-2, 178 pound frame that suggests his best days are well ahead of him. Crowell has a quick, whippy arm that has produced a fastball up to 88 mph with an advanced breaking ball for the class at 74-77 mph. The Louisville recruit also has a mid-70s changeup in his arsenal and has shown the ability to throw all three pitches for strikes.

Cal Gates OF / LHP / Bedford North Lawrence, IN / 2025

An athletic, 5-foot-10, 170 pound outfielder, Gates is an outstanding all-around talent with the ability to impact the game in a multitude of ways. A 6.95 runner, Gates has a quick left-handed stroke with the ability to spray the ball to all parts of the field. At the Future Games, Gates showed true top-of-the-order potential, taking confident at-bats against some of the top 2024 talent in the country. Gates also has enough strength to hit for extra bases, producing an exit velocity of 93.7 mph. Gates can cover ground in the OF and possesses plenty of arm strength, and can also hop on the bump and run his fastball up to 86 mph from the left side.

Joe Glander RHP / 3B / Noblesville, IN / 2025

Glander is a projectable, 6-foot-2, 160lb RHP and was electric in his start at the Indiana Summer Championships. Glander has a smooth delivery with well-timed intent. Quick arm speed with a clean arm swing. Glander breezed through his 4 innings of work, posting 10 K’s and allowing just 2 Hs and 0 Rs. Glander has an advanced FB for a 2025, sitting 86-89 mph w/ good ride through the zone and occasional run. He showed good feel for a sinking CH at 77-78, throwing the CH w/ good arm speed. His breaking ball was a short, tight 73-74 mph SL that he used mainly as an outpitch. Glander is a good athlete with the frame to continue to add velo, it’ll be fun to watch his development over the next few years.

Mason Barth SS / RHP / Andrean , IN / 2025

Barth is uber physical for a 2025, built like a running back at 5-foot-9, 190 pounds. An instinctual player that plays with poise and competitiveness, Barth has a simple, repeatable swing with a wide stance and a small, compact load. Barth had a big week at the dish at the Future Games, going 4 for 7 with a 2B and 3 RBIs in gameplay and producing the best exit velocity (100.2 mph) amongst a loaded Team Indiana group. Simple actions at SS, nothing flashy, but Barth possesses soft hands and quick feet. 6.82 runner.

Mason Braun 1B / LHP / New Prairie, IN / 2025

A Virginia Tech commit - Braun can flat out hit, with arguably the most raw power in the Indiana’s 2025 class due to a quick and very efficient left-handed swing. Thick, 6-foot, 185 frame that produced a max exit velocity of 100.2 mph. While Braun’s offensive profile is extremely impressive, he also has some arm strength and can play both corner outfield and first base.

Will Coleman LHP / OF / Castle, IN / 2025

A high-waisted, 6’0 southpaw, Coleman ran his fastball up to 86 mph this summer and has the frame and arm speed for that number to continue to tick up. Coleman has shown the ability to command the baseball, with lots of feel for a fading 70-72 mph changeup and a 67-71 mph breaking ball.

Trevor Corbett SS / RHP / Noblesville, IN / 2025

A lot to like in Corbett’s game, a primary SS that showed the ability to also play 3B and the OF on the weekend, with present strength and a clean RH swing. The 6-foot, 175 pounder stays behind the ball well w/ advanced bat speed for a 2025. Corbett hit .406 in arguably the state’s toughest conference as a FR.

Jordyn Barlow RHP / Warren Central, IN / 2025

Barlow is an interesting young arm with a lot of things to like. Standing at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, Barlow has a strong lower half w/ a simple delivery and clean, compact arm action. He sat 83-86 mph on his FB in this look, attacking hitters in the zone. His breaking ball is still developing, currently in the upper 60s. A good follow in the 2025 class and could develop into a powerful arm in the next couple of years.

Brad Rohde 1B / RHP / Hanover Central, IN / 2025

Rohde immediately passes the eye test, standing at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds. A two-way player, Rohde has a lot to like on the mound. He currently sits 82-84 touching 85 mph with his fastball, but has the frame to add plenty of velocity. Rohde has a longer arm action but shows some quickness to it as he moves down the slope. As a hitter, Rohde has power potential due to powerful bat speed and an upward swing plane.

Cole Huett CF / 1B / Our Lady of Providence, IN / 2025

A left-handed hitting outfielder with a mechanically sound stroke. Huett has a simple swing that gets to extension, producing hard contact to his pull-side gap in a look this spring. The 5-foot-11, 170 pounder projects to be at least an above-average runner, if not better, and has some arm strength from the OF.

Kale Wemer RHP / SS / Crawfordsville, IN / 2025

Solid, 6-foot, 187 pound frame. Wemer stands out due a live arm from an over-the-top plane and a fastball that was up to 85 mph this summer. He can really spin a breaking ball, landing it on command at 72-75 mph. Wemer creates some deception in his delivery and showed the ability to pitch to both sides of the plate.

Mike Wright RHP / 1B / Seymour, IN / 2025

An athletic, projectable RHP who currently runs his fastball up to 84 mph. The 6-foot-3, 185 pounder has a clean arm action from an over-the-top slot and showed the ability to command three pitches for strikes. He showed confidence in his changeup, willing to throw it R/R at 70-72 mph.

Jaxon Sparks LHP / OF / Carroll Fort Wayne , IN / 2025

An interesting 2025 southpaw, Sparks stands at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds. A two-way prospect, Sparks shows a drop-and-drive delivery and a quick arm on the mound. At Indiana’s Top Prospect Games in June, Sparks ran his fastball up to 83 mph and showed some feel for a low-to-mid 70s breaking ball. Sparks also has some intriguing athleticism on the offensive side of the ball, running a 6.96 60. Sparks has quick hands with an upward swing plane with enough strength to project Sparks to hit for some power.

Maximus Reaume C / RHP / Valparaiso, IN / 2025

A thick, 5-foot-11, 190 pounder, Reaume has an efficient lower half and some present strength that allows him to hit for some authority. Reaume has produced a max exit velocity of 95.7 mph and creates natural lift in the swing. Behind the dish, Reaume generates pop times that range between 2.03-2.11. He can also hop in the mound and run his fastball into the low-80s with feel for a 68-70 mph breaking ball that has good depth.

Braeden Burton RHP / 3B / Franklin , IN / 2025

Strong, 5-foot-11, 175 pounder. Burton has clean, easy arm action from a high ¾ slot, and a slight crossfire delivery that creates some deception. Burton has been up to 84 mph on his fastball and has a sharp, low-70s slider.

MJ Gaines OF / SS / Park Tudor, IN / 2025

Gaines had one of the top performances at Indiana’s Underclass Games, taking a very quality round of batting practice and picking up multiple hits in gameplay. Gaines possesses good bat speed for a 2025 to go along with a clean, upward bat path. At 5-foot-10, 150 pounds, Gaines' hit tool will only continue to improve as he physically matures.

Kellen English RHP / 1B / Evansville North, IN / 2025

A 2025 arm with a sky-high ceiling, English was one of the more intriguing prospects from the Northeast Indiana Open. Standing at 6-foot-6 and 165 pounds, it's easy to project plenty more velocity in the tank for Kellen, who was up to 80 mph at this event. English used a drop-and-drive delivery and long, clean arm action. Strength will pay dividends in his development.
