Be on the lookout in the coming days as we release our Preseason ID dates and our premiere event of the year, the MOKAN Preseason All State

The Top 4

Ashton Larson OF / St Thomas Acquinas, KS / 2023

Do not be fooled by long outdated video and measurables on his profile, we have followed Larson during HS and Summer seasons and know he has one of the lowest floor players in the region. By that, we mean he may not be 6-foot-4 and running a 6.3 60, but the left-handed hitter is going to provide consistent output with a swing that will continue to play at the next level and enough strength to stay in the middle of the order. The LSU commit is primed to have a loud spring.

Jeremy Comer OF / St James Academy, KS / 2023

Arguably possessing the most tools and projection in the state, Comer showed off his long and strong frame at this year's Super 60 Procase. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound LHH showed off a peak 102 exit velo with wood and an average exit velo of 95 mph for 3rd best at the event. If Comer can prove to scouts that he can consistently put the loud barrel on the ball this spring, he could hear his name called this summer. instead of heading to Tennessee.

Brandon Stone RHP / 1B / Shawnee Mission West, KS / 2023

The 6-foot-6, 210-pund right-hander has the frame and feel for three pitches that instantly grab scouts attention. Over the last year Stone has seen his velo climb up to 91.4 at the Super 60 with reports of more. Stone also has shown he can throw all three pitches from multiple slots. If the Johnson County commit continues to see his velo clime, he will garner plenty of attention from pro scouts this spring.

Tyner Horn RHP / 2B / Eisenhower, KS / 2023

Another right-hander making a big jump on the mound is Wichita State commit Tyner Horn. The athletic right-hander was up to 93 at the Midwest Procase and showed feel for an advanced slider into the low 80s, and an above average changeup.

Tyner Horn (‘23, Wichita State) up to 94mph with the FB tonight, comes from an OTT slot and mixes speeds really well. Kaleb Wellshear 2B / RHP / Washburn Rural , KS / 2023

The Barton County two-way commit really impressed on the mound at the MOKAN Preseason All-State. The 6-foot-1, 160-pound right-hander pounded the zone with a two-seam up to 87.4 and advanced slider in the mid 70s. With plenty more left in the tank for Wellshear, he could easily continue to rise after this 20 player jump.

Zachary Sharshel RHP / RHP / Washburn Rural , KS / 2023

The Cloud County commit sees his name jump 20 spots after an impressive showing up to 88.6 and showing off a high-end changeup. At 6-foot-4, 185-pounds expect more velo to come this spring for Sharshel.
