The Kansas high school season is nearing quickly, and we're here to cover it. Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2023 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, leading into a countdown through the official PBR Kansas Preseason Power 20 Rankings.

We’ve submitted a Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Team: Eudora Cardinals
Frontier League
2022 Record: 4-16
Classification: 4A
Head Coach: Sean Jarvis
Years at the Helm: 1

The Eudora Cardinals look to bonce back this year leaning on leadership at the top and a commitment to build the program. They will look to some a handful of seniors and a large group of youth to replace two of their top starts from a year ago.

Mason Cox - P/C - Senior R/R
Talented catcher, but he will be leaned on hevily as a pitcher.
PBR Notes: The 6-foot-1, 170-pound two-way prospect shows near 2.0 showcase pop times from behind the dish and throws low 80s fastballs for consistent strikes from the mound. The Baker commit should have big impacts on both sides of the ball this spring.

Caden Stedry - OF - Sophomore R/R - The Cardinals are looking for Stedry to build off a great freshman year.

Sam Giffin - IF - Senior R/R - The Cardinals are looking for a big jump from Giffin this year.

Maddox Votaw - Senior

A large group of young guys competing for spots.
