It is with great excitement that we bring to you our initial release of the Maryland Class of 2025 rankings. We begin with the Top 20 players we have come across with our boots on the ground approach to scouting. As with all initial rankings, these are likely to see much movement throughout the years as we get the opportunity to see more new faces and as players continue to develop.

In this extremely talented and deep Class of 2025 from across the Old Line State and Delaware, four were included in last week's National Release of the Top 250 beginning with recent Clemson commit Peyton Miller. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound RHP/3B possesses legit two-way potential at the next level. One of nine players inside the Top 20 to have played in the Junior Future Games with Team Mid-Atlantic, Miller saw yet another big velo jump on the mound this fall and has been up to 89 mph, while continuing to demonstrate feel for an already above average breaking ball. At the plate, Miller projects as a middle-of-the-order bat that shows present strength to the gaps with an advanced ability to go the other way. With still plenty more room to add weight and strength to the frame, it's easy to dream on what they future holds for him and what a pleasure it will be to watch him continue to develop at defending MIAA champion Gilman in the years to come.

At number two, shortstop and North Carolina State commit Aidan West (Long Reach) is a slick fielding, sweet swinging left handed stick that caught the attention of everyone around the country this fall on the circuit. West plays the premium position loose with tons of confidence and enough arm strength to stick on the left side moving forward. At the dish, the swing is balanced with natural lift. He shows an advanced feel for the barrel, ability to use the whole field, and drive the gaps.

Recent University of Virginia commit, RHP/3B Sam Rosand (Landon) comes in at number three possessing electric stuff off the bump with a mid 80's fastball and wipe-out, swing-and-miss breaker. Standing 6-foot, 185 pounds, the frame shows durability with more room to add strength and he also shows the potential to grow as a potential two-way player at the next level with a swing that is short to - and long through with plenty of juice.

The first player in this class to commit was OF/LHP Dillon Adkins out of Chopticon in Southern Maryland. The early University of Tennessee commit is yet another one in this class with serious potential to two-way at the next level. Athletic 6-foot, 170 pound frame with some strength to it already. Adkins is a low 80's arm from the left side with feel for a breaking ball and change-up. A former member of Team USA's 12U Baseball Team that competed in Taiwan at the WBSC World Cup in 2019; Adkins hit .643 with three home-runs, and 12 RBI's.

And rounding out the top five in our initial Class of 2025 rankings is shortstop Will Twomey out of Georgetown Prep. The ultra-projectable 6-foot-3, 175-pound Twomey shows tremendous athleticism defensively and ability to make a spectacular plays while possessing tremendous arm strength across the diamond. The swing is pure from the right side with present power to the pull-side, quick hands, excellent balance, and barrel whip.

But enough talk, let's take a look at the rest of the Top 10 and be sure to click the link below to see the complete Class of 2025 Top 20.
