Monday's night cap featured the MIAA "A" Conference Championship between Archbishop Spalding and John Carroll. Coming into the matchup, John Carroll would need to defeat Archbishop Spalding to force an "if" game that would be played on Tuesday night to determine the conference champion.

This game featured a high powered pitching matchup as Archbishop Spalding turned the ball to Senior lefty Eddie Sargent (UMBC), while John Carroll gave the ball to Senior righty Matt Archibald. The game remained scoreless, until John Carroll's Junior Shortstop Ethan Ruiz bounced one through the right side for a two RBI single in the third inning, giving the Patriots the lead. The lead did not last long however, as Archbishop Spalding's Senior shortstop Caleb Estes (Maryland) answered right back in the bottom of the third with a two RBI double to tie the score at two a piece. Spalding would add another in the bottom of the fourth, courtesy of an RBI bloop single off the bat of Junior catcher Ethan McNally (James Madison) to take a 3-2 lead. The score would remain, until the bottom of the sixth where the Cavaliers would add four runs, courtesy of a bases loaded walk, followed by a balk and a two run error to make the score 7-2. Sargent would pitch a clean seventh, clinching the MIAA "A" Conference title for the Cavaliers.
