With seemingly everyone's seasons starting on different dates this spring due to Covid-19, we have decided to create two separate rankings this year based on Public and Private schools. All Maryland Private schools will be considered in this year's weekly PBR Maryland Private Schools Top 10 rankings while only Public schools will be considered in our traditional PBR Maryland Public Schools Power 25. An update to these rankings will continue to be released every Monday throughout the season.

Week 9 Update: More shake-up this week inside the Private Schools Top 10 as the MIAA officially began their playoffs and the IAC closed out their regular season. Claiming the top two spots once again however are Georgetown Prep and Archbishop Spalding at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. Georgetown Prep completed their regular season schedule with a three-game series sweep against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes while Spalding hammered previously No. 3 DeMatha 11-1 in the mid-week and turned around to win their opener in the MIAA playoffs against McDonogh Friday 9-0.

With DeMatha dropping two games this week, both Gilman and Mount St. Joseph move up one spot to No. 3 and No. 4 ahead of their huge match-up on Monday in the semi-finals of the winner's bracket in the MIAA playoffs.

Good Counsel played just one game this past week defeating The Heights 3-0 on Thursday. They jump two spots to No. 5 as both DeMatha and Archbishop Curley (who also went winless on the week) fall to No. 7 and No. 10 respectively. Bishop McNamara wrapped up the week 2-0 defeating DeMatha on Thursday and Paul VI (VA) on Saturday and rise three spots to No. 6; behind Good Counsel who won the first meeting of the year. John Carroll and Calvert Hall battled it out last week splitting the two games and come in at No. 8 and No. 9 this week.
