Updated Class of 2022 Player Rankings (April)

In 2020 we have had a year unlike any other ... No Spring HS season, uncertainty all summer with tournaments and showcases and the same can still be said in the fall. But that hasn't stopped us from searching far and wide throughout the state to find the best prospects we can, to help them get to college and to help colleges find prospects that fit their culture.

Despite the tumultuous year, many names came off the board to some of the top programs around the nation, many new names came to the forefront of the recruiting scene, and many prospects improved their game.

That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.

Below we will take a look at, "Who's at number one", "What's New at the Top", “The Risers”, "Notable Newcomers", The Sleepers”, "Don't sleep on these arms", and some of the top uncommitted prospects by position.

New Number One

2021 has ushered in the baseball season back after the pandemic cancelled the entire 2020 prior to a game being played. Several teams have started action as more will begin in the upcoming weeks. The 2022 class is following in the footsteps of the 2021 in Michigan being absolutely loaded with talent. The top ten features 10 division 1 commits entering the year.

Brock Porter RHP / 1B / Orchard Lake St Marys, MI / 2022

Report: RHP Brock Porter is making his case for one of the best pitcher’s in Michigan High School Baseball history. The Clemson commit won a state title on the mound as a freshman, and has a shot at gaining another this season. Has been clocked at an impressive 99 mph this season with temperatures sub 70 degrees. Slider is a swing and miss pitch at the high school level and his top pitch currently is his deceiving change up.

Report: Cole Prout, a 6-foot-2, 185 pound outfielder, is extremely impressive with the tools and looks the part as well. His left hand bat ranks right near the top in the state regardless of class. He has a unique sound when he swings. The Central Michigan commit takes the #4 spot in the class.

Tate Farquhar RHP / OF / Lakeland, MI / 2022
