WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Expectations for Team - Central Davidson made the playoffs last season and returns a handful of key pieces from that club. They should like their offense this year and if the pitching continues to mature the Spartans should make another playoff appearance this season.
Expected Team Strength - As the youth from last year's team, which made a playoff appearance, turns to experience, Central should have a potent offense in 2023.
The pitching staff features 5 or 6 guys that can pitch with average to above stuff. All of those guys will mix it up and pitch to contact, allowing an elite outfield and above average infield to make plays.
QUOTE FROM THE COACH:
I'm excited to see a junior-heavy team with just the right mix of senior leadership take their next step forward. Most of these juniors were up last year as sophomores and contributed for us. I fully expect this group to make some noise this season in the highly competitive MPC, and be a team that no one is comfortable seeing in the other dugout.
