2020 New England Pitcher Analysis - Quick Hits

The Arms

  • Tyler Hartley, RHP, Xavier, 2022- A right-handed pitcher, super loose arm, with more in there with fastball, clocked at 79 mph. The slider has a chance to be an out pitch.
  • Bryce DiPiero, LHP, Enfield, 2022- A big framed lefty, fastball up to 82 mph, breaker at 69 mph, heavy ball with late action, has a chance down the road.
  • Matthew Wood, LHP, Trumbull, 2024- A left-handed pitcher, only a freshman, up to 80 mph, mixed in a true changeup, big follow.
  • William Parker, RHP, Hopedale, 2022- A right-handed pitcher, up to 87 mph, sat at 85 mph, super clean arm action, two plus secondary pitches. Major pitch-ability, frame is bigger than it looks.
  • Brendan Busby, RHP, Ridgefield, 2022- A big bodied right-handed pitcher, arm action is super clean, fastball up to 77 mph, with a ton more in there.
  • Matt Lee, RHP, Taconic, 2022- A right-handed pitcher, fast, powerful arm, clocked at 85 mph, gets on hitter quick. Works downhill, hides the baseball well. Chance to be a power am down the road.
  • Austin Ouellette, RHP, Lewis Mills, 2022- A right-handed pitcher, super whippy and quick arm, late action at 79 mph, a ton more in there.
  • Caleb Martinek, RHP, Enfield, 2022- A right-handed pitcher, long and loose arm action, fastball reached 80 mph, was all over the zone. Pounds it with a heavy three pitch mix.
  • Ryan Balanzo, LHP, North Haven, 2022- A left-handed pitcher, second event of the week, fastball was consistent at 82 mph, working it to both sides of the plate, hard slurvy breaking ball at 70 mph.
  • Jacob Cha, LHP, Amity, 2022- A left-handed pitcher, super quick and clean, works from a  higher slot, Fastball at 83 mph. The curveball up to 70 mph, with feel for changeup.
  • Brandon Rovinelli, RHP, St. Joseph, 2025- Only in 8th grade, this righty, got the fastball up to 76 mph with run to it, with a breaking ball in the mid 60’s.
  • Noah Terzo, RHP, Newington, 2022- A quick arm righty, up to 81 mph, gets down the mound quickly, working from a higher slot. Look for a jump in velocity at some point.
  • Lucas Deshefy, RHP, Guilford, 2025- A young right-handed arm with a high spin rate, curve ball has a chance to be a legit out pitch at some point.
  • Nathan Acabchuk, RHP, Windsor, 2023- A quick arm right-handed pitcher, fastball up to 80 mph, electric at times, two good secondary pitches.
  • Cesar Jesus Aguasvivas Garcia, RHP, 2022, International-  A right-handed pitcher, up to 85 mph, hard slurvy breaker at 71 mph.
  • Robert Brown III, RHP, TBD, 2025- A powerful arm for a 2025, fastball up to 80 mph, slower breaking ball at 61 mph, needs more fastball hand speed, look for him to be a velocity guy at some point.
