2023 Future Games: Team Connecticut - Workout/Gameday Notes

The 12th annual Future Games took place on July 26-29 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2025 and 2026 participated in one of the most popular events of the year.
There were 32 teams, including Team Connecticut, with players representing 44 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players were put through a showcase workout on Wednesday. More than 375 college coaches from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event.
Connecticut went 2-1, defeating Team New York on Friday, Team Massachusetts on Saturday, while losing to Team Canada on Thursday.

Report: RHP, long levers, works from a higher slot, pitches downhill, FB/Slider mix, FB at 83-85 mph. |
Michael Poole RHP / 1B / Westerly, RI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 4
Report: RHP, big physical frame, arm action is short and clean. Pounds the zone with a solid 3-pitch mix, FB at 86-87 FB, with arm side run. Mixed in a slider and a splitter, splitter has some swing and miss to it. Love the feel for pitching. |
Cole Raymond RHP / 3B / Avon Old Farms, CT / 2025Report: RHP, major projection, FB is electric, up to 91 mph, locates down in the zone. Working from the set position, repeats the delivery, inline to the plate. FB explodes out of the hand, secondary stuff needs to be tightened up a tick. |
Brandon Rovinelli RHP / OF / St Joseph, CT / 2025Rankings StateRank: 35 / POS: 16
Report: RHP, short and quick arm from a 3/4 slot, hides the baseball and jumps on the hitter. Mixed in hard slider, late with tight bite and break. FB was up to 89 mph, with action. |
Matthew Shea RHP / SS / Haddam- Killingworth, CT / 2025Rankings StateRank: 76 / POS: 26
Report: RHP, showed very well, very clean arm, delivery, inline direction, works with minimal effort, FB at 85 mph, with above average spin rates. Both secondary pitches CB/CH thrown for strikes, can put hitters away multiple ways. |
Garrett Snyder RHP / 1B / Cheshire Academy, CT / 2025Rankings StateRank: 128 / POS: 37
Report: RHP, pounded the zone with a heavy two/pitch mix of a FB/Slider combination. FB up to 89 mph, heavy downward sink. A monster frame, shows the ability to repeat the delivery. Advanced feel for pitching, arm action is clean should be able to throw a solid CUP at some point. |
Tyler Stone RHP / SS / Cheshire Academy, CT / 2025Report: Simple, compact delivery, clean arm on the backside, length out front. Late biting slider, dominated his two innings. |

Cooper Maher SS / RHP / Bishop Hendricken, RI / 2025Report: Twitchy INF, life in the barrel, slightly open, relaxed hands. Defends at high level, can turn it from both sides. Competes at a high level. |
David Pengel OF / SS / Avon, CT / 2025Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 5
Report: RHH, extremely athletic and projectable. Life to the barrel, loose hands, more of a pull approach, plenty of juice to beat the outfielder. Athletic runner, covers a ton of ground in outfield. Worked an inning off the mound, spin rates are advanced, raw with projection. |
Logan Rembish RHP / SS / St. Paul Catholic, CT / 2025Rankings StateRank: 18 / POS: 7
Report: RHP, super fast arm, stuff is electric, 89-90 mph, with life, hard biting slider. At the plate, loose hands, pull approach. Defensively, athletic actions, with a plus arm across the diamond. |
The Catchers
Will Bartoli C / 3B / Frederick Gunn School, CT / 2025Rankings StateRank: 117 / POS: 16
Report: Simple, Balanced approach, squares everything up, gap to gap. Hands are loose and relaxed. Feel for catching, very quiet behind the plate. |
Logan Martel C / 1B / Canterbury School, CT / 2026Rankings StateRank: 87 / POS: 11
Report: LHH, leverage in the swing, gap to gap approach, had solid at bats, projection is very high. |
Easton Masse C / 3B / Westminster Prep School, CT / 2025Report: RHH, balanced, swing is smooth, effortless, approach is advanced. Knowledge of the strike zone is above average. Defensively, can really catch and throw advance feel. 1.90 in game pop time. |
The Infielders

Report: Strong, physical left-handed hitter, took good swings, hard contact in at bats. |
Ryan Paine SS / Trumbull, CT / 2025Rankings StateRank: 103 / POS: 24
Report: RHH, whippy life to the barrel, level path, swing works with ease. At bats were good in game play. Defensively is above average, 87 mph arm across the diamond, plenty of arm and feel to stick on the left-side. |

Report: LHH, physical and athletic, 6.85 runner 90 mph across the diamond. Simple, small pickup and put down at the plate, level path to all fields. Tools will lead to success. |

Report: RHH, athletic a plus runner, 6.6 runner, log athletic strides, can go get it in the outfield. At the plate, line drive swing with whip, cuts across at times. Projection is high. |
Michael Spadaccino OF / 2B / Shelton, CT / 2025Rankings StateRank: 127 / POS: 17
Report: A LHH, had a great week, sprays the ball all over the yard, with ability to get the ball to the gaps. The legs are above average and gets out of the batters box quickly. Showed good jumps in outfield, can track, the arm is a tick above average. Big time sleeper. |
