  • Overall Number Of Position Prospects: 44
  • Overall Number Of Outfielders: 14

Summary: The 18th annual Super 60 featured 44 total positional prospects, 14 of which participated as outfielders for the showcase. 21 prospects ran better than 6.90 60-yard dashes, 10 infielders 90+ mph, 10 outfielders 90+ mph, 7 catchers 80+ mph, 8 catchers sub 2.00 pop time and 7 positional prospects registered 100+ mph. Ohio State commit Kade Kern finished inside the top four for each of the categories for outfielders and within the top five overall at the showcase. Fellow Ohio State commit Mackenzie Wainwright may have put together the top overall batting practice rounds on the entire day while also placing 2nd overall at exit velocity.

Kade Kern OF / RHP / Archbold, OH / 2020

Super 60 Report: At the Super 60, Kern solidified himself as one of the top dynamic talents in the entire 2020 class. Having finished inside the top four for each of the categories for outfielders and within the top five overall at the showcase, the Ohio State commit put his name on multiple MLB Draft boards as a name to follow this spring. Exit velo registered at 102 mph, the outfield velo at 94 mph while clocking in at an impressive 6.61 seconds in the 60-yard dash, the 6-0, 195-pound outfielder Kade Kern is a name to remember.

Mackenzie Wainwright OF / St. Edward, OH / 2020

Super 60 Report: The 6-0, 215-pound Ohio State commit was a big time winner at the 2020 Super 60. Despite being nearly a year young for class, the St. Edward Eagle put together some outstanding swings during live BP, with Shooter Hunt calling Wainwright the "huge metrics winner" for the event. Efficient movements with elite force outputs has Wainwright pinged as an intriguing MLB Draft follow this spring. At the plate the ball makes a thunderous sound, crushing balls off of his barrel while showcasing the ability to work all fields while hitting. The exit velocity was 104, while running a 6.94 and having a 94 mph outfield velocity. Wainwright may be an Ohio State baseball commit but it would not shock anyone if he said he was a football commit with his physically mature frame that has some room to continue filling out.

  • Overall Number Of Pitchers: 29
  • Overall Number Of Southpaws: 6

Summary: The 18th annual Super 60 featured 29 arms, 23 of which were righties, while six threw from the left side. 25 arms touched 90+ mph with righty Trey Frahm (No. 1 ranked prospect out of Nebraska) sitting in the low-to-mid 90s, touching 96 mph while southpaw Magdiel Cotto (No. 9 ranked prospect out of South Carolina) was the top lefty velo wise, sitting 93-94 mph, topping out at 95.

Caden Kline LHP / OF / Defiance, OH / 2020

Super 60 Report: On a day that saw multiple big-bodied righties sit in the low-to-mid 90s, southpaw Caden Kline was consistently around the zone with an 87-89 mph fastball with good movement. The lefty has a 6-foot-4 frame with endless projection left, checking all the boxes scouts are looking for physically in a prospect. Very long, loose arm with well above average arm speed. Gets good drive with his lower half with delivery being on time. To compliment the 87-89 mph fastball, Kline sprinkles in two different breakers, a 76-77 mph curveball and a 77-78 mph slider.

The Ohio State commit did all this while currently being in basketball season, where he is a starting forward for Defiance, who 3/4 of the way through the season, record sits at 12-4 on the year. Caden is a three-sport athlete, having started at WR/S in football as well.
