Inside the Recruitment: '15 INF Brendan Green commits to Sienna Heights

PBR: Why did you choose Siena Heights?

Green: I chose Siena Heights because it was the best fit for me academically and athletically. I loved the facilities and everybody on the coaching staff is great.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Green: I was considering Oakland University, Tiffin, Ohio Dominican, and Mount Union

PBR:  Where did the coaches first see you compete and how did your relationship develop with the rest of the coaching staff?

Green: They first saw me when my summer team played in a tournament at their place in June. They then invited me to a camp about a month ago and I spoke with Coach Sarkissian on a weekly basis after the camp.

PBR: What role does the coaching staff expect you to play during your first year on campus?

Green: They expect me to work hard and compete for a starting spot my freshmen year

PBR:  What are you individual and team goals for this spring?

Green: Individually I want to continue to get stronger, faster and continue to get better. As a team we expect to build on last year’s tournament success and make a run at states.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Green: My summer ball coach, Brian Hull and my dad have had the biggest impact on me. Coach Hull pushes me to be the best that I can and is willing to work with me whenever. My dad has taken countless hours pitching BP to me.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?

Green: I play for the Ohio Warhawks Baseball Club. My most exciting experience was in the district championship last year making an unassisted double play to end the game against Thomas Worthington

PBR: What were your stats last season for Pickerington North?

Green: I don’t know my exact stats for last season. I know I batted mid .300 and a .460 on base percentage

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced in Ohio?

Green: Toughest pitcher I've faced is probably Corey Stanley from Bloom Carroll
