Olentangy Liberty Junior, Jacob Niggemeyer (Ohio State commit) continues his dominating ways against OCC foe Dublin Coffman with an 8-0 win.

The Patriots jumped out to a two run lead in the first inning when, leadoff batter Daniel Kirchner (pictured) reached on an error and Louis Firmstone doubled to left field.  Two outs later Marcus Wechelsberger hit single up the middle to score Kirchner and Firmstone.

Liberty would respond again in the bottom of the fourth with four runs.  The inning was highlighted when Kirchner hit a 3-run homer to left field.

Coffman struggled to get men on base throughout the game.   The only scare by the Shamrocks was in the fifth inning when Jordan Blake led off with a single and Tyler Jester induced a walk.  However, Niggemeyer was able to get out of a jam as he induced a ground ball out and struck out the last batter of the inning.

Liberty added two more runs in the sixth inning when Niggemeyer hit a single to score both Kirchner and Firmstone.  This gave the Patriots a 8-0 lead.

The Patriots were paced on offense by Firmstone who had a 4 for 4 day at the plate. (three single and a double)  Kirchner also scored two runs to go along with his homerun

The right-handed Niggemeyer, threw six innings of four hit baseball, while allowing only three walks and striking out seven batters.

Liberty has now improved their record to 15-6 and they are only one game behind Thomas Worthington in conference play.
