2022 Spring Team Preview: Saint Ignatius Wildcats

Team Name: Saint Ignatius Wildcats

2021 Record: 21-6
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/3

2022 Team Strengths:

  • Between Gabriel Nard (Duke) and Sawyer Solitaria (Ohio State), I feel we have a couple of the top arms in the state.
  • Billy Adams (Ohio U) and Anthony Paskell (Rider U) are two players we will count on to continue the success they had during their junior seasons.
  • Our lineup should be well balanced.

Coach Outlook: "With the talent we have returning and the potential with some of the new faces, we expect that at the end of the season we will be in the mix during the tournament for a deep run. Playing the national level competition while in Tampa will definitely allow us to be prepared for the challenges of the regular season and beyond."

  • Anthony Paskell OF/INF, 2022 R/R. 2 year starter, Rider U Recruit. Last Year Stats- .343 AVG, 6 2B, 3 3B, 17 SB.
  • Sawyer Solitaria INF/RHP, 2024 R/R. Ohio State Recruit. Last Year Stats- .309 AVG, 5 2B, 17 RBI. 14.0 IP, 3-0 0.00 ERA.
