OK Rankings Update: 2025 Class

Andy Urban and Scott Hood

The 2025 class has finally got a full high school season and summer under their belts and the class is shaping up to show some serious talent.  With four Power 5 commitments already and many more receiving big interest, players are starting to shine on the bigger stage.  The 2025 class is now entering their sophomore years and there's still a large amount of projection amongst many in this class and many more will start to get to show what they can do this upcoming Spring with more prospects getting their shot at the Varsity level.  Today we take a look at the top 3 players, 3 rankings risers over the Summer, as well as 3 new faces to the rankings.  Full list of the rankings can be found by clicking here.

TOP 3

Ethan Holliday SS / Stillwater, OK / 2025

Holliday remains the number one overall ranked player in the State and the Country after a monster Spring and Summer.  The left-handed hitter has shown the ability to drive the ball out of the ballpark to all fields with one of the smoothest strokes in the Country.   What really sets him apart is his strong ability to defend with incredibly soft hands to go along with elite actions on the left side of the infield.  He understands routes and plays underneath the ball at an advanced level.  The OSU commit has already shown the ability to get it done at the big stage and should only continue to improve as he gains more experience.

Cash Williams C / SS / Choctaw , OK / 2025

Williams checks into the list as the number 2 overall ranked player in the State after putting his impressive collection of tools on display at last month's Future Games.  Williams broke the pop time record for the Future Games at 1.78 and showed the ability to deliver that quick release in game as well.  One of the best overall athletes in the Country, Williams runs a 6.61 60 and put on a display at the plate that saw him pick up multiple extra base hits.

Carson Brumbaugh SS / 2B / Santa Fe, OK / 2025

Big jumps in player development can be had going into a player's sophomore year but none had quite the rise over the Summer than Carson Brumbaugh.  After a strong Spring defensively at short for Edmond Santa Fe, Brumbaugh's bat caught fire throughout the Summer with the ball jumping off the barrel at ease.  At the Future Games Brumbaugh saw the exit velo jump up to 101.7 and showcased his plus arm strength at 90 mph in the workout day before tearing it up in gameplay.  While always having a strong skill set, Brumbaugh is now seeing the tools start to make a jump making him one of the more complete middle infielders in the Country.

RANKINGS RISERS

Eli Ramirez SS / RHP / Duncan, OK / 2025

Ramirez opened up some eyes late in the Spring helping Duncan capture the 5A State Championship and hasn't looked back since.  The talented shortstop and right-handed pitcher put his tools on display at last month's Future Games with some impressive results.  On the mound Ramirez worked two perfect innings running the fastball up to 91 mph and mixing in a 74-77 mph curveball with improving depth.  He also shows serious promise on the other side of the ball with a 6.76 60 to go along with 89 mph arm in the infield and 98 mph exit velo.  Although Ramirez is not one of the larger framed athletes, he packs an extreme punch on both sides of the ball making him a very intriguing prospect to keep an eye on.

Declan Murphy 3B / RHP / Carl Albert, OK / 2025

Murphy jumped onto the scene during the Top Prospect Underclass Games earlier in the Summer and then parlayed that performance into a spot on last month's Future Games roster.  Murphy worked the fastball up to 87 mph with heavy sinking action and arm side run and paired it nicely with his tight upper 70's slider with sweeping shape and late depth.  Murphy falls into the throwback category of prototypical sinker/slider guy with big upside as he continues to add strength.

Mason Pickering C / 1B / Hilldale, OK / 2025

Pickering sees his stock rise after a strong Spring and Summer season.  Pickering impressed both behind the plate and in the left-handed hitter's box at the Top Prospect Underclass Games as well as looks we got of him throughout the Summer.  He has shown advanced catch and throw capabilities that have seen pop times as low as 1.88 in a showcase setting and continues to make big jumps with the bat.  Pickering stands at a projectable 6-foot and 185-pounds and plays with some of the most energy in the State making him a definite prospect to follow in the future.

TOP NEWCOMERS

Aidan Tomlinson 3B / RHP / Dewar, OK / 2025

Tomlinson really impressed in BP at the Top Prospect Underclass Games earlier this Summer using his longer levers in 6-foot-4 frame to drive balls deep into the gaps repeatably.  The Dewar product has good balance in the swing with smooth rhythm and shows an advanced feel for working the lower half underneath the ball to help with matching plane.  In the infield the feet work smooth and easy with a feel for glove action and enough arm strength to potentially stay at the hot corner in the future.  He can also jump on the mound and show potential as a right-handed arm with the fastball working up to 85 mph and showing a feel for mid 70's slider.

Rhett Leu SS / 3B / Bixby, OK / 2025

Leu enters the rankings for the first time after getting a couple of looks at him both at PBR events throughout the summer and some in game looks throughout the tournament season.  What will catch your eye first when watching him is unique bounce and feel for routes playing shortstop allowing him to cover a lot of ground to go along with above average arm strength.  The swing is put together nicely with quick hands through the zone and will continue to see jumps as he grows and gains strength.  Leu can fit almost anywhere on the infield and plays with a high baseball IQ.

Tyler Clagg 1B / OF / Bixby, OK / 2025

Another Bixby product sees his name enter for the first time in first baseman Tyler Clagg.  Clagg put together an impressive round of BP with some of the better overall bat speed metrics and showing real power potential with exit velos approaching 93 mph.  At 6-foot-3 and 200-pounds, Clagg swings with the type of leverage and quick hands that isn't always easy to find in younger hitters with larger frames and should continue to get better as he gets more in game action in the future.
