Future Games Frenzy: Quick Hits II

Tillie Burlock
PBR Ontario Intern

On Wednesday, June 29th, our staff headed to Dan Lang Field to host the Future Games Frenzy which allowed our staff to get one final look at players from across the province before selecting the Future Games and Jr. Future Games rosters.

We got a look at 45+ players and we begin to break it all down below as PBR Ontario Intern, Tillie Burlock, provides notes and video on five players who caught her eye.

2025 SS Ty McGuirk (Barrie Baycats) - McGuirk was an exciting surprise at the FG Frenzy. The athleticism of the 6-foot, 170-pound body stood out immediately at shortstop where he showed off the ability to pick it with soft hands, easy actions. At the plate, McGuirk made some noise showing plenty of potential juice with a raw swing that showed some feel for the barrel. On the bump, the high-waisted righty was able to use his lengthy limbs to his advantage, utilizing his lower half well. McGuirk worked with a high leg kick and threw from a ¾ slot with an easy, athletic delivery, and quick, loose arm action. The young RHP sat 77-80 with some arm side run and a tight 65-67 slider, getting lots of in-zone misses on both pitches.

2025 LHP Geoffrey D’Amato (Ontario Blue Jays) - Uncommitted 2025 Geoff D’Amato immediately jumps out with a wirey 6-foot-1, 180-pound build. D’Amato’s projectable frame moves well down the mound with quick and loose arm action from a ¾ slot. The young lefty impressed with a fastball that sat 78-80 with some arm-side run and an average of 2456 RPM. D’Amato also flashed a 71-73 slider with sharp action and a 74-75 change up with a bit of fade. He showed off an ability to throw all pitches for strikes with plenty of in-zone misses. An intriguing, young arm to watch as he continues to develop.

2025 OF Tiki Braham (Ontario Blue Jays) - After seeing him a couple weeks ago, we were looking forward to seeing more of Tiki Braham at the FG Frenzy. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound 2025 looked comfortable in the outfield showing off a quick, easy arm that got up to 85. He impressed with athletic actions, quick feet and good IQ. At the dish, Braham looked right with some feel for the barrel and working up to an 89 EV. During game play, the young outfielder showed off some sneaky juice, crushing a triple to his back-side gap, and launching a homer to his pull-side. Lots to like from Braham as he continues to develop and add strength and size.

2025 OF/3B Austin Boylan (Ontario Blue Jays) - Boylan has consistently impressed each time we’ve seen him throughout the spring and early summer. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound 2025 shows a strong, stocky build that moves well. A 6.75runner and athletic actions in both the outfield and infield, Boylan’s arm shows off some carry from both positions working up to 82 in the OF. At the dish, Boylan has a strong, compact swing with some feel for the barrel and plenty of potential juice to all fields getting up to an 89 EV. During gameplay, Boylan sat on a breaking ball and took it to his backside gap. An overall impressive day for the young 2025 who will be an exciting watch as he continues to develop.

2026 RHP/INF Adrian Krupka (Ontario Royals) - Krupka proved to be one of the more interesting 2026s at the FG Frenzy. At 5-foot-10, 145-pounds, Krupka showed well on both sides of the ball. From the right side of the plate, Krupka put together an intriguing round of BP spraying the ball to all fields and displaying some feel for the barrel. On the bump, the young RHP sat 77-78 on his fastball with some life, mixing in a front door 12-6 curveball with some sharp break and a change up at 71. Lanky frame that moves well, the young RHP will be an interesting follow as he continues to add strength and size.
