2018 Scout Day: Ottawa Knights - Quick Hits

Chris Kemlo
PBR Ontario Director of Scouting

We would like to thank all who participated in PBR Ontario's 2018 Scout Day: Ottawa Knights. This was a great opportunity to get an up close last look at the Knights organization, the ever improving rosters of three separate teams. With more of a focus in the Ottawa area, rest assured that collegiate players will continue to be a trend, with local players such as Demi Orimoloye, Matt Ianni, Justin Emond, Scout Dowell and many others off playing in professional and the collegiate ranks.

THE BATS

Sam Bent SS / OF / Mother Teresa, ON / 2018

Report: Left-handed bat with balance and displayed hand-eye coordination during his round of BP. Was able to spray the ball left to right with more of a line drive approach. Extends well through contact and there is some looseness in the hands that should allow him to handle some fastball velocity while keeping the hands back on off-speed stuff as well. Talks of him re-classifying to a 2019, if so, he’ll be a nice get for the right college program.
