PBR Canada Collegiate Performers of the Week

Every week, we'll highlight one hitter and one pitcher to be our PBR Canada Collegiate Players of the Week which is powered by Mizuno. This is the 14th week and we have a repeat performer in Corey Jackson and a fresh face on the offensive side in Alberta native Dylan Borman.

THE OFFENSIVE SIDE

Hitter of the Week
Dylan Borman, University of Arkansas at Monticello

Background: Borman is a 6-foot-5, 215-pound infielder from Camrose, Alberta and he’s been a main contributor to Arkansas - Monticello’s since he arrived on campus in 2017-2018. Currently a true senior, Borman batted .304 with eight home runs and ten doubles across 44 games. While the average took a dip in 2019, the slugging percentage went up as he blasted 12 home runs in the year. Now in his final year, Borman’s numbers have exploded and he’s slashing .344/.399./.781 with 15 home runs and 11 doubles.

Performance: Borman played his final three regular season games this weekend and he made the most of it, driving the ball all weekend. In a three-game set against Southwestern Oklahoma State, Boman picked up two hits in each game and hit three home runs in the process. Throughout the entire weekend, Borman went 6-for-13 with three home runs, a double, four RBI, six runs, a walk and a stolen base.

The UNC Greensboro transfer now has 150 strikeouts through 96 innings..
