Notes

The Cal commit is a long, lean athletic pitcher that projects future growth that should add velocity to his already dangerous repertoire. Pilchard features a clean and repeatable delivery that generates downhill plane from his high 3/4 delivery. He runs his fastball up to 90 mph while living in the 86-88 mph zone with arm side run. His changeup shows deception and movement keeping hitters off balance at 81-82 mph while his curveball flashes two-plane downer action at 73-75 mph. Pilchard uses the same arm speed and slot for all his pitches.
