The state of Michigan is filled with high-level baseball prospects throughout each corner of the state. The 2018 class has commitments all across the United States, from Vanderbilt to Miami to Kentucky to Missouri to Nebraska and many more colleges across the U.S. When looking at the 2018 rankings, you will see plenty of Michigan colleges littered throughout all of the commitments as well.

The 2019, 2020 and 2021 classes are loaded and primed to make some big-time commitments to colleges all across the nation over the next few years. We at PBR Michigan look to bring you insightful information on these big-time commits as well as giving everyone a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects available as well.

Uncommitted Spotlight: Helgeson Next Portage Northern Prospect

Tyler Helgeson RHP / SS / Portage Northern, MI / 2019

PORTAGE - Portage Northern is becoming a hotbed for Division I college baseball players. Tyler Helgeson looks to be the next in line.

The junior is currently early in the recruiting stages in a quest to follow the footsteps of a trio of recent Portage Northern graduates. Tommy Henry, a 2016 grad, plays for Michigan while 2015 class members Ben Keizer and Max Schuemann are at Michigan and Eastern Michigan, respectively.
