WEDNESDAY, MAY 3RD

Michael Holt (Ravenwood, 2026) is a freshman that is mature beyond his years on the diamond. Very aggressive hitter that looks to make contact early and get on base. Has great barrel control and pitch recognition. Sees the ball extremely deep into the zone. Starks with lower hands to a cocked firing position. Very subtle leg kick, almost as if he is just picking it up to put it back down to gain momentum. Really fires his back hip well and drives his left knee to get into a good hitting position. Twitchy in the box to go with quick hands. Maintains a flat barrel that stays on plane and will make contact at a very high clip. Will hit for average and presents a gap-to-gap approach with not much power at this point in his development. Let's go off the bat with his top hand to start his movement path to first. He plays to his strengths and knows his game. Top of the lineup hitter and an All-District player as a freshman. High follow and if he can add more power to his game and show some gap plus pull power, will be an interesting prospect to follow as he advances in his high school career.
