Scout Blog: Tallulah Falls vs #24 Prince Avenue Christian

2026, OF, Ashton Roache
Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 160 pounds. We’ve been saying for the past year that Georgia’s 2026 class could easily be the most talented since PBR’s arrival in the Peach State. The class has a lot to live up to, but now it has an electrifying new addition in Roache. He immediately becomes the fastest twitch athlete in the entire class, which is truly saying something. Although he was unknown in the states coming into the year, he was an under the radar name on the International market. A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Ashton had a few MLB teams (His dad is a scout for Reds in Bahamas) interested in his services over the past 6 months in preparation for him turning 16 this year during the International signing period. Once watching him play live, it’s easy to see why. With extremely lean, perfectly proportional muscle and long levers, he’s built like a professional sprinter. When you see him take off like a Ferrari out of the box and on the basepaths, you realize that this is an easy bet for a top of the scale run tool. Other than his run tool, the loudest current tool he has is the bat speed. It’s currently on the same level as the run, and projects to be top of the scale as well. What’s most exciting is that he also has high level swing mechanics, the kind you’d see in Rookie ball on the back fields of FL or AZ in Spring Training. The lower half sink, overall rhythm, separation timing, and linear connection are not only natural but extremely advanced for his age. He also showed eye opening pitch recognition on breaking balls, fouling a few off hard down the line. There’s plenty of rawness to him defensively, but this is another place where his run tool and fast twitch fibers will wildly impress. His future top of the scale range and ability to make difficult plays few others can will be another huge selling point on this future impact CF’s prospects. This is a special talent with potential to be a national name in the next couple years.
