The Texas Scouting Blog provides insider information and scouting notes from the PBR Staff during the season. This running blog will feature information on underclass prospects, unsigned seniors, draft prospects, and anything else that is notable. We will provide a wide range of information, including player evaluations, velocities, pop times, home to first times, and more.
This edition will include prospects that our staff has seen over the last six weeks. Moving forward we will release a new Scout Blog based on the games we saw for the previous week. We start today, with a focus on the Houston Area as Tyler King breaks down the prospects that have caught his eye so far.

ZANE ADAMSLHP / 1B / PORTER, TX / 2023Adams continues to make jumps every year and has continued that in 2023. The tall LHP was 92-94 T95 showing glove side command and a CB at 79-81 with good depth getting swing and miss. Lots of projectability in Adams’ frame and continues to show that he’s one of the best arms in the 2023 class.
