WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Expectations for Team - 4
Expected Team Strength - Westside will feature many talented young players and good senior leadership.  The Rams should have reliable starting pitching, a combination of speed and power within the offense, and a defense that should make the routine plays.

QUOTE FROM THE COACH:
"It is hard not to be excited about the potential of this team.  More importantly, I think that we have a talented group of kids that buy in, care about each other, and hold each other accountable.  We still have to prove that we can win big games and handle expectations, but I'm excited to see how we fare this spring."

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Class of 2022 / OF

Player Information

  • Graduating Class: 2022
  • Primary Position: OF
  • High School: Westside
    State: SC
  • Height:
    Weight: lbs
  • Bat/Throw:

Noah Robinson- IF, 2022, Uncommitted. Middle of the order bat that should have a big season. Had 9 2B's as a junior last season.

Mikey Scott- RHP/IF, 2023, Uncommitted.  Middle of the order bat and Region starting pitcher.  Has the potential to excel as a two-way player in our Region.  Should be #1 arm and XBH/RBI threat for the offense.

Elijah Grant- OF/RHP, 2024, Uncommitted.  Switch-hitting speedster that excels on both sides of the plate.  Should hit at the top of the order and score a ton of runs in our offense.  Could potentially be our closer as well, as he has a power arm with a lot of movement on his pitches.

Jacob Kirkus- RHP, 2024, Uncommitted. Young arm that has been up to 83 that should also be a Region starter.  Great pitchability and competitor.

Jaylen Telley- OF, 2024, Uncommitted.  LHH high-ceiling OF that could turn a lot of heads this season.  Good speed and some juice at the plate.

Tyler Scott- UTIL/RHP, 2025, Uncommitted.  Should be starting catcher for the Rams after serving as the back-up as an 8th grader last season.  Also logged valuable innings out of the Rams bullpen last season, and should do so again this year.
