The 2023 high school baseball season is underway with practice having started and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Texas
Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the Austin at the State Tournament, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Texas. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and eventually releasing our preseason Top 30 teams in the state.
Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state. Each week we will be releasing our players of the week and updating the Top 30 teams in the state.
*Please note that all information is based on team preview questionnaires that were sent out and returned by the participating high school coaches.

Team Outlook:
The Bobcats had a great regular season in 2022 with a 27-2 record and a 13-1 district record that lead to a district championship. They made it to the Area Round. This year they have a good blend of returning players and some newcomers that are talented looking to help the Bobcats make a run.
On the mound, Cy Fair is led by returners Brandon Vickery (Cisco JC) and Dylan Parton (Central Baptist). Vickery was HM All District last year and is looking to take the next step this season. Look for Dylan Rostron and Tyler DeBoer to step up and deliver quality innings as well. Offensively, the Bobcats return a lot of quality pieces, led by Kyle Chambers (Paris JC). He earned 1st team AD Honors last year, and is primed for a big Sr Year. Parker Lewis joins Chambers in the OF and was also a 1st team AD selection last year. Hector Rivera, Jake Choate, and last years Newcomer of the Year in the District, Austin Godwin round out a talented group of returners in the Cy Fair lineup. Sophomore Dylan Rostron has a chance to have a big breakout season. The LHH has really stood out to PBR Texas staff since they first saw him last summer. Bo Caraway and Grant Heisey are also some newcomers that should make quality contributions this spring.
The Bobcats know what regular season success feels like, this year they look to add on to it and make a deep run in the playoffs.
