PBR Texas Staff

HUNTSVILLE, TX - On October 6th, our PBR Texas Staff hosted the All-State Games South at Sam Houston State University. The event featured a highly talented group of prospects from the 2022-2025 classes. Players started the day off by going through a workout where they ran the 60, threw from positions, hit BP on field, and ended the day by splitting into teams and playing two simulated games. Today, we take a look at some of our staff's first impressions from the event.

Je-Isaac Alamo SS / 2B / Travis, TX / 2022

Complete day overall. Solid showing during the workout portion and stood out offensively in the game with multiple barrels on the day. Alamo’s bat has a shot to stand out down the line.

Jacob Silva C / 3B / Clark, TX / 2024

Silva seems to do all the little things right behind the dish, from calling a game, to handling the arms he catches. Was great to see the switch hitter get 3 hits on the day including a double to LCF

Karsen Luther 1B / 3B / Conroe, TX / 2023

Luther got in the box to do damage each time and he got every ounce of a deep HR to LF in the game, as well as another in game line drive double. Luther has a shot to be offensive and impact the game from the box

Easton Dean C / 1B / Coldspring Oakhurst, TX / 2024

Physical 2024 Catcher showed a lot to like moving forward. Put multiple quality in game swings on the ball as well has handled the arms well behind the dish. Dean will be a name to follow with time.

CH 76-78

Grant Davis 3B / RHP / Alvin, TX / 2022

Athlete with natural arm strength up to 90 across the diamond. Lean, projectable frame who is still just scratching the surface of who he can become. Athleticism should allow him to play all over the field as well as hop on the bump as he allows athleticism to transfer to the mound.

Wade Eslick C / OF / Tomball , TX / 2022

Flat out ball player. Plays the game with a very high IQ behind the dish and does all of the little things right. Calls a good game, understands the arms he is catching. Plays confident with natural leadership abilities. Eslick makes every team he is on better.

Toolsy and explosive athlete. Multiple nice plays showing his speed and athleticism in CF. Took a quality round of BP, staying in the middle of the field and driving balls with backspin. Garrett will be a key piece to another loaded Barbers Hill high school team.

Jax Marshall OF / 3B / McKinney Christian, TX / 2024

The LHP has a knack for missing bats with the FB and SL. FB averaged 85 mph and SL was 76 mph on the day. Will flash some natural cut on the ball. FB has a high IVB allowing ball to stay above the barrel through the zone.

Josh Glaser 3B / RHP / Flower Mound, TX / 2024
