PBR Texas UIL State Playoffs Bracket Challenge Announced

We're extremely excited to announce the first-ever PBR Texas Bracket Challenge for the upcoming 1A- 6A Playoffs. This is a March Madness style bracket challenge that allows each person to make their own picks and predictions for every matchup in the 1A-6A Playoffs. We're excited to be able to bring this to baseball fans throughout Texas, giving them a chance to show how much they know about high school baseball in the Lone Star State. 

Below are the Format and Rules for the Bracket Challenge.

FORMAT, RULES & PRIZE

These rules and the format of this challenge should be fairly straight-forward and easy to understand, especially for someone who has participated in ESPN's Tourney Challenge for March Madness. This should be fairly similar in terms of how you can win, standings and much more. We've created seven separate brackets (six different classifications) on www.challonge.com that are open and joinable for anyone to participate. This challenge is completely FREE to play and there will be no money involved for entry or for the prize-winners. 

• There will be six winners, one for each classification. The winners are determined by to 

• Class 1A-6A Playoffs will begin on Thursday May 5th.

• All Class 1A-6A brackets must be submitted by 3:00 PM, Thursday the 5th.

• All picks must be made for your bracket prior to the deadline, including selecting a winner from each matchup and ultimately the champion for that specific classification.

Each winner will receive PBR Texas merchandise. 

POINTS SYSTEM

The bigger the matchup, the bigger the reward for correctly picking the winner. Below is an explanation for how many points will be rewarded for correctly picking the winner for a matchup in different rounds of the playoffs. This point system will be the same for all classifications.

• Bi-District: 1 point

• Area: 2 points

• Regional Quarter Finals: 4 points

• Regional Semifinals: 8 points

• Regional Finals: 16 points

• State Semifinals: 32 Points

• State Finals: 64 Points

STEPS ON HOW TO JOIN EACH BRACKET LEAGUE

In order to join each classification's bracket challenge, there are a few simple steps that you need to follow to enter. We've gone through these steps multiple times and it seems to be fairly simple to access and join. If you for some reason run into any questions, please feel free to reach out and we will do our best to assist. It will be much easier to do these steps on a laptop.

1. Click on the link of the desired classification you would like to fill out All links listed below. We encourage entering into as many classification brackets as you wish.

2. That link will bring you directly to the bracket. From there follow these easy steps.

• Click the green button that says “create a prediction”

• Click or drag and hold your pick to win each matchup. You will need to double click if using a mobile device 

• After you have completed your bracket, you will scroll down to the “Prediction Info” box and fill out the 3 questions. In the “Prediction Title”, please put your first & last name. Enter an email address that you monitor frequently, because that is how we are going to contact the winners.
