TEXAS, USA - The High School Baseball season has two weeks left in the regular season and the District races are heating up with teams positioning themselves for the upcoming playoffs. Remaining in the Number 1 spot for the eighth straight week is Lake Travis. Although the Cavaliers dropped a game last week, they are still 27-1 and have already locked up the district championship.

5 3 Colleyville Heritage 5A 23-3
6 4 Argyle 4A 25-0
3 5 Reagan 6A 25-5

TOP 5

+ Coppell: The Cowboys have been trending upward all year and they have something to prove.

+ San Antonio Reagan: The Rattlers dropped a game last week to Johnson, but they are still in the driver’s seat to clinch district.

+ Colleyville Heritage: The Panthers have 6 of the top juniors from the Texas 2019 Class Rankings. They have now won 18 games in a row. Huge series this week vs. No. 20 Grapevine. If Colleyville wins at least one game this week they will lock up the district championship. If Grapevine wins both, they will claim the hardware. We will be there on Tuesday.

+ Argyle: The Eagles are now 25-0 and the only undefeated team in the state of Texas. They have two quality starters, strike throwers in the bullpen, and a lineup that is super athletic.

ON THE RISE

+ Klein Collins: At 20-5 and currently in first place in district. Collins has a huge series this week against Klein. They need 1 win to lock up the title.

+ Prosper: The Eagles are 12-0 in district with a big series this week vs. Lake Dallas.

+ McAllen: The Bulldogs have locked up first place after posting an 11-0 district record with 15 wins in a row with an overall record of 24-1.

+ Cleburne: The Yellowjackets have won 24 games in a row, yes...24. They are now 27-1-2 overall and 12-0 in district.

ON THE BUBBLE

Take your pick now, because there are plenty of teams that could be in the discussion. Cypress Fair is 21-8 and sits atop their district with one week left in the season. Dallas Jesuit is now 24-6 with their only conference losses coming at the hands of Coppell earlier in the year. Coach Cornblum’s Waco-Midway club is now 23-7, The Georgetown Eagles have locked up the District crown in 19-5A and are 24-7 overall record. In 4A, Godley is 19-1, with a huge matchup on Friday vs. Midlothian Heritage who could also be in the mix at 17-4, 9-1 District. In 2A, Muenster is 23-4-1 and 13-0 in district. In 3A, Gateway is 23-1 but they will need to defeat Blanco on Tuesday to win the district outright.
