DAY 2

13U

+ Hitters 13U Navy won both their games on Saturday and 1B/OF O’Neil Wright (2026) played a key offensive role in both victories. Wright finished the day with four total hits and nine RBIs - including a grand slam in game two. Wright’s left-handed stroke has some natural bat strength attached and all four of his hits were barreled up. INF Jack Butler (2026) had two hits and brought three home in game two. Both starting pitchers for Hitters in their respective games, RHP Jacob Graf (2026) and RHP Bennett Schueller (2026), threw complete game shutouts in their starts.

+ Top Tier 13U Americans have a number of frames that jump off the page, including RHP/SS Callaghan O’Connor (Bishop McNamara, 2026), who pitched last night, 3B TJ McQuillan (Lake Central, IN, 2026) and others. O’Connor has a 6-foot-2, 170-pound, long-limbed, highly-projectable frame and started at shortstop in their second game of the morning. O’Connor made a number of routine plays showing a loose, accurate arm and the ability to make some plays on the move. O’Connor’s play throughout the weekend has solidified him as a follow name in IL’s 2026 class.

+ McQuillan has a physical 5-foot-11, 205-pound, that translates to the left-handed batters box. The strong-bodied, middle-of-the-order bat, has a polished approach with easy, quiet takes and rarely chases out of the zone. McQuillan has a quick/strong swing that stays short and direct to the ball with easy jump off the barrel and the ability to backspin the baseball. Here is a line-drive double over the first baseman’s head:

+ Another 2026 to follow for Top Tier Americans 13U is Pancho Vazquez (Mount Carmel, IL). Pancho has a wide-shouldered, strong build, advanced arm strength and flashes bat speed at the plate. Vazquez sat 73-75, T76 mph on the mound in the first game of the day and took aggressive, intentful swings throughout the day.

+ Top Tier matched up with a talented Stiks Academy Black 13U team in their second game of the day on Saturday. Stiks were loaded with left-handed hitters, up-and-down the lineup with Miken Haddon standing out due to his physical bat strength. Haddon has a strong, thick frame and looks to lift the ball with authority. Haddon took a number of intentful swings, flashing bat speed and loud contact. Strong left-handed hitter to follow moving forward.

+ For PTA 13U Cardinal, RHP Ryan Buchta (2026) fired a complete game 10-3 win vs. Cangelosi Sparks 13U. Buchta gave up nine hits while striking out eight batters. OF Nolan Ramoley (2026) went 3-for-3 at the plate with three doubles to lead Cangelosi

+ STIKS Black 13U backstop Maddux Lessard (2027) went 2-for-3 with two singles, all while playing up an age level, in his team’s win over 13U Top Tier Americans.

+ 13U Chicago Elite defeated Top Tier National 12-3 powered behind a two-run blast by Nick Morsovillo (2026). Austin Welsh (2026) and Dylan Weber (2026) both had multi-hit games for Chicago Elite in the win. with multi-hit games. C Shawn Mowry also showed off his arm gunning down a couple base runners at second base.

+ 13U 5 Star Great Lake won their first game over Cangelosi Sparks North, Saturday Morning 10-1. Blake Kouder (2026) led the game off with a solo home run to put his team on the board early. Kouder, an athletic, projectable frame, had a simple setup in the box. Strong athletic hands and above average speed for his age. Finished the game going 2-for-3 with a home run and a RBI. Trent Gill (Valparaiso, 2026) batted second, an athletic body with quick hips hit a three run home run. Gill finished 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Kellan Hosek (Valparaiso, 2026) a lean, long limb frame, with above average speed and loose hands, hit a triple and a double.

+ GRB Rays 13U Green defeated Cangelosi Sparks North in their late night game by a score of 9-4. Cal Moreau (2026) is a lean, athletic right-handed infielder. Simple, balanced stance, working gap-to-gap with a level swing, went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Josh Manchester (Mount Horeb, 2026) a compact swing through the zone, working the whole field, went 3-for-3 with a double.

+ Despite two losses on the day, Jeremy Thompson (2026) looked impressive at the plate for Cangelosi Sparks 13U. He boasts an athletic frame with a strong lower half and found the sweet spot of the bat five times on the day with only two hits to show for it. Strong hands on a compact swing, he had two hits in their game against GRB Rays Green, going 2-for-3 with a triple to right field and two RBIs..

14U

+ RHP Cameron Armstrong (Providence, IL, 2025) fired a complete game win for the Upper Deck Cougars in a 4-1 win over Chicago Elite. Armstrong pounded the zone for seven innings striking out three and allowing three hits with a quality three pitch repertoire.

+ The Timber Rattlers walked it off in their win against The 14U Upper Deck Cougars, as Mitchell Semancik (Franklin, 2025) did it all for PTA. He went 2-for-3 with a single and double offensively, all while making a handful of quality defensive plays in center field. Semancik is a noteworthy athlete with above-average speed, solidified by the 7.21 60-yard dash he ran at our Future Prospects Milwaukee event a few weeks ago.

+ The Cangelosi Sparks 14U opened up their Saturday cruising to a 14-1 win in four innings over at Milkmen stadium. The Sparks feature one of the deeper offensive lineups in the event but it was 2B Ethan Moore and RF Jaden Fauske that continue to lead the way at the top of the order. Moore has a compact, strong frame and advanced feel for the barrel. The right-handed hitter, who bats at the top of the order, stays short and on top of the baseball and uses the whole field. Moore stays within himself, sees the ball deep into the zone and barreled up everything he saw in the zone. Moore finished 3-for-3 with a double to right-center field, single through the left side of the diamond and a hard ground ball back up the middle. Moore scored three runs and drove in one in game one of the day.

+ Another position player to watch for Cangelosi Sparks 14U was Brayden Simmon (Bay City Western, MI, 2025). Simmon has a compact, strong frame and has a short, quick swing with present bat speed and above-average feel for the barrel. Simmon hunts pitches early in the zone and the ball comes off his bat with authority.

+ Fauske, featured in Fridays Quick Hits, is a polished left-handed bat that hits out of the two-hole for the Sparks. Fauske has an athletic, upside frame and loose, fluid swing. Fauske stays inside the baseball, creates easy whip through the zone and wore out the left-center field gap. Fauske tripled hard into the left-center field gap in his second at-bat and then followed up with a hard single into a similar spot. Fauske scored twice and knocked in two in game one.

JD Cumbee also had a big day going 3-for-3 with three singles, an RBI, stolen base and two runs scored. On top of his offensive output, Cumbee played an above-average center field, tracking down a number of balls hit his way, with precise reads, quick first step and showed an above-average accurate arm.

+ Despite going 1-1 on the day the 14U Lake County Lightning played well in their two games at the Milkmen field. Their offense was clicking on all cylinders in game one of the day with a number of players having big offensive days. Jackson Piggott (Lake Zurich, IL, 2025) started on the mound in game one and his right-handed bat was on the barrel all day long. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound, high-waisted Piggott creates leverage in his swing and controls the barrel. Piggott went 3-for-4 in game one with three RBI, two runs scored and a double. On the mound he ran his fastball up to 77 mph, working across his body and from an over-the-top slot, creating a tough angle and look for the hitter. When Piggott was at his best he was pounding the fastball to the glove side and working his 11/5 breaking ball off of it at 65 mph.

+ RHP/UTL Charles Meister (Hersey, IL, 2025) was another standout for Lake County Lightning all day long. Meister has the ability defensively to play all over the field but looked most natural behind the plate where he is ultra quick and athletic out of the chute, for his age. Meister showed a plus arm with an in-game pop time of 2.08 on a caught stealing. Meister, a right-handed hitter, doubled twice in game two of the day.

+ A left-handed hitter for Lake County to keep an eye on in the coming years in the state of Wisconsin looks to be SS Aidyn Mueller (Muskego, 2025). The Mueller has a 5-foot-10, 135-pound, lean, high-waisted frame with all kinds of room for added physical development. Mueller takes loose, athletic aggressive swings from the left-side of the plate. Mueller creates barrel-whip through the zone and works uphill. Mueller's offensive profile should only continue to ascend as he gains strength and continues to polish his approach, using the whole field consistently. Defensively, Mueller has easy range and an accurate arm at shortstop.

Caden Earing (Mundelein, IL) is another 2025 to follow for Lake County Lightning. Earing has an athletic 5-foot-6, 125-pound frame and loose, quick, upside arm action that plays clean out of a high ¾ slot. Earing ran his fastball up to 77 mph and should continue to see plenty of velocity gains as he matures and gets into high school.

+ Hitters 14U team came to Milkmen stadium for the nightcap on Saturday and took care of business with a 9-4 win. Right-handed hitting center fielder Jaxon Clayton (N/A, 2025) got things going early for Hitters with an RBI triple (4.62 on the turn) barreled deep into the left-center field gap. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Clayton is quiet and simple in the box and creates easy jump off the barrel thanks to his strong/quick wrists and 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame.

+ 1B Zachary Ausburn (Warren, IL, 2025) is a 6-foot-4, 170-pound, long-limbed, highly-projectable right-handed bat who took a couple quality at-bats and found some barrels for Hitters. Ausburn stays short to the ball and looks to control the barrel, an impressive feat given his extremely long levers. Ausburn finished 1-for-3 with a walk, RBI single and run scored.

+ C/3B Carter Kutz (Hartford, 2025) has solidified himself as one of the top incoming freshmen in the Badger State. Kutz boasts a highly athletic, yet still projectable, well-proportioned frame that is fully capable of adding quality strength as he matures. Hitting out of the three-hole for Hitters Navy 14U, Kutz singled three times and drove in four runs, leading his squad to a 10-2 victory. He also made several high IQ defensive plays in the field, including two well played ground balls at third base, letting them go foul. On the mound for Hitters was RHP Trent Oiler (Brookfield East, 2025), who allowed two earned runs across five innings and struck out four. Oiler primarily relied on his fastball in this outing; a lively offering that enters the zone with heavy action at 76-80 mph.

+ OF Trevor Van Hey (ISA Stars 2025) went 2-for-3 with two hard singles up the middle to help ISA get to their Win. Van Hey is a quality athlete that runs well with loose hands that stay inside the baseball.

+ C/1B Kaleb Navarro (2025) and 3B/SS Casey Kmet (2025) helped lead Top Tier Americans 14U to a 9-1 victory over Velocity 14U in our 3:30 p.m slot. They each had two hits and brought in a combined five runs.

+ The Cangelosi Sparks - North squad impressed us this weekend tremendously and earned the No. 1 overall seed entering bracket play. On Saturday afternoon in a win over GRB Rays, RHP/1B Cole Regaldo (2025) had an explosive day offensively, going 3-for-3 with six RBIS on a single, double, and home run.

+ 14U Central Illinois Outlaws defeat Minnesota Starters 14U Black 14-10. OF Zeb Rashid (Wethersfield, 2025) had a pinch hit home run. C Tyler Humphrey (Washington, 2025) doubled, while INF Jack Livengood (Peoria Notre Dame, 2025) added two hits and drove in three runs. Ben Schefers (2026) hit a two-run home run and tripled for Starters.

+ 14U Top Tier West defeated 14U PTA Timber Rattlers 9-1. Chase Powrozek (2025) led the way with two hits and two runs scored, also topping out at 79 mph in relief. Cole Albin (2025) and Matthew Kowalik (2025) also had multiple hits in the win. Mitchell Semancik (2025) led the way for PTA, with some hard hit balls and also topped out at 78 mph on the mound.

+ 14U Top Tier West stayed on a roll last night and took down Top Tier Michigan 3-2 during the 8:30 p.m. slot. Cole Albin (2025) came up big for West with a go-ahead two-run double in the top of the sixth inning, and Sammy Gonzalez IV (2025) dominated in relief for West as well.

+ C Peter Visconti (2025) followed up his home run yesterday with another stellar performance at the plate. His short and compact swing works gap-to-gap, and that was on full display as he hit an inside the park home run to left-center field and a three-run triple to right-center field over at Wisconsin Lutheran College for St. Louis Dynamite.

+ 1B Owen Strebig (Catholic Memorial, 2025) and Brandon Morrisey (2025) anchored the STiKS Black 14U lineup in a 26 run explosion for their team. Strebig brought six runners home on his own with a pair of doubles, including a bases-clearing one to dead center field, and Morrisey collected four hits with two triples, a double, and five RBIs.

+ SS/RHP Jackson Natanek (Brother Rice, 2025) twirled a gem for Top Tier South 14U in their first matchup of the day, throwing a complete game shutout while allowing only one walk and one hit. Showed off long and loose arm action with quick arm speed. His fastball sat 76-78 mph, touching 80 mph, and he mixed a breaking ball in at 67-68 mph.

+ Arguably the weekend’s most competitive contest took place last night, when the Central Illinois Outlaws defeated Midwest Halos 14U Red 8-5 in the night cap over on Phillies Field. It was a crucial win for the Outlaws, who secured a perfect 4-0 record and ultimately advanced to bracket play as one of the higher seeds with a win. A handful of noteworthy 2025 names emerged on the Wisconsin prep side for Halos, as RHP Jack Poellot (Lake Country Lutheran, 2025) and INF Jack Lutz (2025) both cemented themselves as serious follows in the state’s incoming freshman class. Poellot started for Halos and consistently pumped in a low-80s fastball, touching 83 mph twice in the first two innings. He eventually settled in at 76-78 mph as the game went on, competing valiantly against a quality Outlaws’ lineup. Lutz is another name-to-know, as the lanky, long-levered infielder went 3-for-4 with four barrels and a triple to the RF wall. He’s a quality up-the-middle defender as well, ranging laterally with confidence and his sure-handed actions have him pegged to stick there long term.

+ STiKS Black 14U defeated the GRB Rays MKE 14U Green 2021 3-2 in our last game of the day - a win that ultimately catapulted them up to the eight and final seed in our playoff bracket.  Leading STiKS offensively was INF Evan Brown (Waukesha West, 2025), who collected two hits at the plate. RHP/INF Greyson Zach (Pewaukee, 2025) has continuously impressed throughout the weekend. Zach tripled again on Saturday afternoon and threw a complete game for STiKS, striking out eight and holding GRB to just four hits. STiKS won the game on a walk-off squeeze in the bottom of the seventh inning.
