As the spring high school season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Report is excited to announce one player who emerged ahead of the competition at all levels in the state of West Virginia. This player has been selected not only for his outstanding statistical numbers, but also for his overall effect on his high school program.

Ross Mulhall, a senior first baseman from University HS, produced a strong statistical season while helping lead his team to AAA sectional championships.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder is headed to the La Salle University in the fall to continue his baseball career as a member of the Explorer's program.

Mulhall's all-around performance, as well as the impact he has had on University HS, has earned him the 2018 Prep Baseball Report West Virginia State Player of the Year honors.

Ross Mulhall has been selected by West Virginia Executive Director Greg Williams and the team of area scouts who covered the high school baseball season throughout the spring.
