5-foot-9, 180-pound solid athletic frame. Athletic at the plate, Matusovich jr. recorded an exit velocity of 92 mph. Begins in a wide stance with a wrapping load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed was explosive, showed an upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Athletic in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 79 mph; has a natural exchange, fluid feet, and sure hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 72 mph; has soft hands, fluid feet,and a twitchy exchange. Athletic setup with average flexibility. Used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Recorded a time of 7.56 in the 60-yard dash.
