Notes

Comments

2/17/19

2/17/19

Body Type: 6-foot 165-pound right-handed pitching prospect with room to add strength to and average frame.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Compact delivery, works in line with level shoulders. Works out of a short arm action and ¾ slot with minimal effort.

Fastball: 78-79 mph fastball works on a downhill plane with occasional run to the arm side. Filled the zone.

Curveball: 70-71 mph curveball has a short/late 11/5 break. Pitch tunnels with the fastball and shows developing depth.

Changeup: 72-75 mph changeup is thrown with good arm speed and feel. Shows late fading action near the zone.

Pitchability: Offers a true three pitch mix. Good feel for both secondary offerings and showed the ability to locate the fastball. Breaking ball could develop into a plus offering in the future.

Role: Too early to tell, should land in a starting role at the high school level early in his career. Throws a lot of strikes, easy delivery and good candidate for a velocity jump.

2/17/19 Position

Body Type: 6-foot 165-pound prospect

Swing Mechanics: Starts with a balanced stance with a minimal load. Is very short to the ball with his hands with a flat bat path.

HIt: Average bat to ball ability.

Power: 76 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection:
Swing and approach lend itself to a line drive singles approach. Minimal gap to gap potential with current swing.

Field: In the infield he waits on the ball with minimal footwork and angles through the ball. Shows a quick arm with potential.

Throw: 71 mph across the diamond.

Run: 5.11 home to first.

Defensive Projection: Doesn’t presently offer any skills or tools defensively that would find a logical defensive fit at the next level.
