6-foot, 175lb durable frame; 8.5 runner in the 60 yard dash. At the plate, stars straight up with shoulder width feet, slightly hunched over with hands pushed back by the back shoulder. Hovers the front foot and slams it down, initiating his swing. Uphill swing powered by a hard turn with his torso, shot the ball to the opposite field in the air and on the ground. Posted a 74 MPH max exit velo. In the infield, Marceau moves well to the ball, taking direct routes and throwing off a firm base. Fields out in front with a clean glove and funnels to the belt, throws from a low 3/4 slot. Posted a 76 MPH arm strength across the infield.
On the mound, Marceau works clean, repeatable mechanics down the mound with flashes of above average arm speed on foot strike. Throws downhill easily and uses multiple slots, whether intentional or unintentional, to throw his off speed pitches. Throws the fastball at 78-80 MPH with the ability to throw with intent and have exceptional command of the zone. Mixes in a curveball at 58-60 that shows promise as it has good shape and a repeatable release point. Flashed a changeup at 62-64 that shows good fade and depth to the arm side, easy release makes for added deception in this pitch.
