Body Type: 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. Taller athlete for his class with a leaner build and room to add.
Swing Mechanics: Hands back load during short stride for timing.
Hit: Athletic kid with a nice combination of strength and speed to swing. Ball jumps off bat and he can generate regular backspin. Path plays, very solid, louder round.
Power: 90 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Middle potential.
Run: 7.21 60-yard dash.
Field: Aggressive defender that gets too and through the baseball quickly. Ball skills are adequate. Also worked out in the infield. Plays with direct routes, cutting down distance off the bat. Hands are softer and glove looks reliable.
Throw: Developing strength that plays up due to quick transfer.
Defensive Projection: LF/2B.
2/3/19 Pitching
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. Taller athlete for his class with a leaner build and room to add.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Arm action varied at times as sometimes it was short and compact while others his arm got away from his body. Released out of a ¾ arm slot more often too. Tempo could use a boost as well.
Fastball: 69-72 mph. Produces tailing arm-side run with it.
Curveball: 57-58 mph. Has higher breaking action to it and command was average. Release point can improve to mimic his arm on fastballs.
Changeup: 63-64 mph. Showed some nice downward run to it but not much side to side for now. Kept it lower in the zone.
Pitchability: Was average overall with his command of pitches. Cleaning up arm action and of course throwing more will progress his abilities. He has time to develop as he gets bigger and stronger over the next three years.
