12/2/18 At the plate Bossart starts in his stance with a balanced setup and with his hands low. During his load his hands slightly elevate more around shoulder height. He casts his barrel with a downhill bat path leading to predominantly pull side line drives and hard ground balls. He did seem to show good bat to ball ability. Liked what I saw in the outfield. Feet are well timed, allowing him to play with momentum through fielding and into throws. Arm plays as a well above average tool, jumping out of hand with carry to target. Tools translate to the next level. 60-yard Dash: 7.21 Outfield Velocity: 86 Exit Velocity: 87
9/30/17 An infield prospect in the 2019 class. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Initiates lower half movement through a toe turn load prior to his short stride forward. Hands move slightly back to create balance during his stride. Path is level and swing is compact. Contact type guy that registered an exit velocity of 79 mph. More to come as he fills out frame. In the infield he moves light on his feet with smooth actions. Inside his funnel he fields the ball in the middle of his body prior to transitioning into his ¾ arm slot. Moves well laterally and shows a smooth/quick transfer on the move. Threw across the diamond with 77 mph arm strength.
7/18/17 A 6-foot, 155-pound prospect. Offensively, he is a right-handed bat that starts in a balanced setup. Hands move back to launch during short stride. Load is fluid, path is level, and he generates average bat speed through the zone. Top tool at the plate is his strength. Has more room to add weight to his projectable frame. Expect more pop to come. Present line drive type guy. In the infield he plays under control approaching the baseball. Tends to field from hells at times. Actions are more athletic outside his funnel. Throws from multiple arm angles with ease. More than enough arm to play the left side. On the mound the right-hander has good rhythm to his delivery. Delivery requires little effort and is repeatable. Creates solid energy with his lower half towards home plate. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot. All of his pitches have impressive moment. Fastball showed cut while working to either side of the plate. Breaking ball works on an 11/5 plane with depth and sharpness. Slider may have been his best pitch in general. The offering has very good depth before darting across the zone sharply. An overall strike thrower with above average offerings across the board. All physical signs point to more velocity to comes as well. FB: 77-81 CB: 66-67 SL: 72-73 Home to First: 4.41 Inf Velo: 78 Exit Velo: 80
6/21/17 A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a short stride while taking his hands back to his shoulder. Path is level to slightly uphill with developing bat speed. A contact type guy that showed some feel for the barrel. Swing plays best to the middle/opposite field. In the outfield he uses fluid, athletic footwork approaching the baseball. Transition smoothly threw fielding into his throws. Arm action is clean and throws showed some carry. Home to First: 4.38 Outfield Velocity: 84 Exit Velocity: 81
5/31/17 A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Mechanics are simple and swing is compact. Bat works on a level plane. Contact type guys that consistently found the barrel in batting practice. Produced line drives to both fields. In the outfield he plays fast and under control. Fields through the ball well and gets rid of it in a timely fashion. Area of improvement would be ball flight on his throws. A two-way prospect. On the mound the right-hander has an uptempo delivery and works through a high-¾ slot. Arm action is clean with some quickness to it. Offers a three-pitch mix with his fastball sitting 72-75 mph. Tends to slow his arm a bit on his 55-57 mph breaking ball. The pitch works on an 11/5 plane with gradual break and he has obvious confidence in it. Showed a changeup that had similar action to his fastball at 65-66 mph. Works mostly off his fastball and breaking ball, consistently being in the zone with both.
