Jack Jacobs: LHP/OF, (2023) Berkshire, OH. 6-foot, 165-pound. At the plate, Jacobs had a max exit velocity of 87 mph. (66.4 mph bat speed average). (21.2 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap stride. Has quick bat speed, short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 82 mph; has a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Used a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action while showing quick arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Threw his fastball 83-85 mph. Shows slight running action. (Max spin 2108; Avg 2042). His 2/8 curveball (63-66) has gradual sweeping action. (Max spin 1896; Avg 1844). He had slight fading action on his changeup (75-77). Ran a 4.28 30 yard dash.
Jack Jacobs: LHP/OF, (2023) Berkshire, OH. 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic frame. On the mound, showing good arm speed he had a quick arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-81 mph; showed arm side control and running action. His 1/7 curveball (59-62) had gradual action. His changeup (70-73) showed fading action and arm side command.
Scouting Notes:Young, left-handed pitcher with much more physical maturation on its way. Work with a fluid tempo on the mound to a delivery that doesn't require much effort. Filled up the zone with his fastball/breaking ball combination. Expect the radar gun to look much different before it's all said and done.

Field:In the outfield he plays with an aggressive tempo in his approach. Tempo slows a bit during playthrough where ehe displays ball skills that are serviceable.

Delivery Notes:On the mound the southpaw has good tempo to a delivery that requires some effort. High-3/4 lefty with compact, quick arm. More to come as physical maturation takes its course
Fastball: Mostly true through the zone with occasional arm side action. 70-73 mph.

Curveball: 1/7, sharper offering with hard dive to it. Still developing feel for the offering. 56-60 mph.
Curveball Spin Rate: 1500-1620
Changeup: Good feel for the offering that looks to be a legitimate option in his repertoire.
Pitchability: Strike thrower for the most part.
2/8/20 Position Player
Hit: Left-handed hitter with a quiet load followed by a level path. Natural tools are solid for class with more to come. Aggressive swinger that worked in the middle of the field in BP.
Power: Line drive pop.
