Fairman is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound LHP/1B from Thomas Jefferson HS. He hit .299 with 25 RBI, seven doubles, a triple and a home run in 2013.
9/15/13 Fairman has positioned himself for a significant jump in the class rankings when they are next updated in October. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitter has displayed legitimate power potential and has produced at the plate in several fall program stops. Fairman went 2-for-3 with a double in game action at Slippery Rock University.
8/18/13 Fairman showcased an 83 mph bat exit velocity and good extension to his swing out of a high hands load. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitter showcased some power potential in batting practice and went on to go 1-for-3 with a home run in game action. Fairman showed soft hands around the 1B bag and a 62 mph arm across the diamond. He worked two innings sitting 70-72 out of a high 3/4 arm slot. The lefty displayed a flat four-seam fastball and a 1/7 breaking curveball at 60 mph. Fairman allowed two runs in his first inning of work, but bounced back for a scoreless second frame.
7/18/13 Fairman has an athletic build at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds and moves well for a prospect his size (7.32 60-yard dash). He showed athletic actions in the outfield and good straight line carry on throws of 78 mph from the outfield. Fairman had just thrown from the mound in a game and did not overextend himself during defensive evaluations and did not throw off the mound. The right-handed hitter hits out of an open stance with a high hands load. He showcased good extension to his swing and some power potential with a bat exit velocity of 91 mph.
