Atlee Fall Workout

I have been intrigued by some of the upside that the 6-foot, 160-pound athlete gives off. Scott has an athletic frame with proportional strength throughout. In the outfield he projects more corner profile long term and possesses above average arm strength. Moves well laterally and takes solid angles of approach. At the plate it is a square stance, early in counts it is a small toe tap stride, and then once he gets into two strike counts he simplifies it even more going no stride with a more of a contact based approach. Makes more of a top hand load with a slight wrap before slotting the back elbow and getting into the zone with a level path swing. In his first at bat he grounded out while in a two strike count and then later on singled to right field. Appeared to have solid balance in the swing and the swing is more contact/ line drive focused, especially with as hands first as the swing is. The run tool is average/above average as he turned out a 4.35 Home-1st and had a 4.68 on the turn on his single, which he stretched into a triple after an error.

Loved the physical makeup for Scott. Athletic frame with lean strength present and projection left. Visible strength through the chest, back, and shoulders. Sloped shoulders, high waist, and long legs. At the plate it is a balanced athletic stance. Hands are loose and show rhythm in a direct load. Short path to to contact and above average bat and hand speed. Fights the front shoulder to stay closed just a bit, but is athletic enough to make adjustments in the swing. Battled in a deep at bat his first plate appearance and would draw a walk. Would also walk his second at bat. Interesting athlete with tools that offer intrigue.
