Mason Baldic: RHP/OF, (2023) out of Milford, MA. 6-foot-2, 200-pound two-way prospect. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 92 MPH, with a (63.87 MPH bat speed average) and (20.99 MPH hand speed average). Baldic started in a balanced, wide stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A slow load stacks the weight over the back leg, allowing him to be in a strong launch position. As the swing begins, the bat takes a flat swing path through his finish. During his round he showed the ability to use the whole field and remain balanced throughout. In the outfield, he recorded a velocity of 77 MPH on his throws. As he worked through the defensive portion, he shows he has a clean exchange, smooth feet, and sure hands. During the event, he also recorded a 60 time of 7.48. On the mound, Baldic uses a long, high ¾ arm slot to produce a fastball that came in at 77-81 MPH(Max spin 2164; Avg 1998), with arm side run. He also flashed a sweeping slider (67-68 MPH) (Max spin 2221; Avg 2211).

5-foot-11, 175 pound right-handed hitting infielder had a tee exit velocity of 83 mph. He hits out of an athletic stance, with the hands set low. The load begins off a leg kick to get the weight to the backside. The bat-path is elevated and produced a lot of hard contact.
Defensively, he was 75 mph from the outfield. The feet are athletic as he moves into the fielding position. He transitions well into the throwing position, with the feet and shoulders in line with the target. The arm-swing is fluid and he finishes through his throw in line with his target.
On the mound, he uses a simple step back to get hsi weight balanced over the back leg. The hands separated around the belt before heading down the mound. As he works down the mound, his direction is in line with home plate. He uses a lower ¾ arm slot that produces some late arm side run. The fastball showed some life and sat 72-73 mph. The secondary stuff showed signs of being good pitches. The breaking ball was 60-62 mph with some inconsistency being under the ball. The ones that he did get on top of, showed tight spin. He also showed the feel for a change-up at 61-62 mph.
I like the versatility of his skill-set. He’s athletic and the bat has a chance to be a good tool. He’s a guy I will be following for sure.

The 5-foot-11, 175 pound right-handed hitting first baseman is a strong young hitter that is demonstrating some pop with the bat already. He showed this early, with a tee exit velocity of 82 mph. The set up is balanced and the hands begin in a relaxed position. During the load, the weight gets to the backside. The hands initially drop below the chest but get back to a good position to hit. As the bat gets to contact, the path is direct and flat. He extends through the ball well and showed the ability to drive the baseball.
In the outfield, the arm was 75 mph. The feet were athletic as he moved into the fielding position. The glove was relaxed and in a good position to field. As he transitioned into the throwing position, he stayed in line with the target and the arm speed was evident.
On the mound, he flashes a quick arm. The delivery is out of a modified stretch, with short actions before heading down the mound. The direction is good but lower half gets quick down the mound, causing the arm to drag. The fastball sat 71-74 mph and he located it well. He also worked in a breaking pitch at 65 mph, that showed good spin.
I like the athleticism. He has a chance to be a nice two way player.
