By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

In last week’s Hotlist, we highlighted pitchers still on the recruiting market from the 2016 class. This week, we look at the other half of the battery. Listed alphabetically below, are 2016 catchers that remain uncommitted.

Zach Adams, C, Decatur HS, MD
Adams has an athletic frame at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds. On defense, he possesses a short, loose arm action and gets carry on his throws. He has been up to 77 mph from the crouch and has sound footwork to go with a clean exchange. He’s athletic behind the plate with good body control. His pop times range from 2.01-2.08 seconds. At the plate, he hits from a slightly open set-up and maintains a level path with a quick bat. He’s direct to the baseball and has average balance in his swing with some rhythm. Adams is a gap-to-gap hitter and gets down the line in 4.6 seconds.
